This is what I was wondering. I was able to play Youth Gone Wild on Hard, and I felt like I wouldn't normally stand a chance at that song if it was in Rock Band. I didn't really try any of the five-skull songs, and I'm confident that a lot of songs are wrongly-tiered in this game on guitar, so maybe I just got lucky and picked a song that is not as hard as advertised. But it definitely felt like they took out a lot.

Is it possible to turn on all the lanes as it stands? Perhaps some sort of crazy two drum setup?

A lot of people saying the difficulty on drums is lax, I just wanted to make sure you guys were still going to pick up the drumset once it came out and try playing the songs again with all six pads + pedal?

I figure that'll make a HUGE difference in difficulty, as what i'm seeing is that in four note mode, it's not as if all the notes are still there but re-mapped, they literally removed large amounts of notes, but I could be wrong...

Yeah I was thinking that as well.
Are you going to be picking up the full set?
I was wondering what that would look like.

You coud be right, but I'm amost convinced that I won't be buying the drums - I'm not even buying the GH:WT drums (since I tried them out at E for All, and found them to have all the same issues as Rock Band 1 drums did), so I'm sticking with my good ol' reliable RB2 drums for everything.

I'm betting you're right though - 5 note mode is probably EASY MODE!

Oh well - so be it - pretty dumb of them to release the game before the peripheral is avaiable if you ask me.

agreed why would they release the game before their peripherals were ready? I guess the pretty much assumed no one would buy their game if they didn't already own rockband or guitar hero?
