Singstar mics - do they work with GHWT on PS2???

I'm being tight, I know - but I find out if I lose my job this week so money could be tight!

I've got GHWT on PS2 and need to know if the Singstar mics my bros has will work?

Apologies if this has already been covered - had a quick look but couldn't find anything!

Any USB mic made for any gaming system or PC will work on RB, RB2, and GHWT. They are just standard USB mics, no one has made game or system specific microphones yet.

So, yes, they'll work.

Wait... The singstar mics on PS2 aren't standard USB? Because all the 360 kareoke type games use standard usb mics that are 100% cross compatible with everything. I didn't know that ps2 singstar did not use USB mics. If that's the case, then take voices113's word for it.

The Singstar mics do use USB, but they're not what you could call standard in any way. They don't work with anything other than Singstar, and that includes Guitar Hero: World Tour. I've tried on the PS2 version, it won't recognize them.

It only works for Rock Band because the mic input is a two microphone system that is incompatible for GHWT. This is only true because Singstar was being produced around the same time as Rock Band, so no adjustment were made for the original Rock Band.
