I'm having doubts on this. As stated above, it could be hard to make it register that the string has been plucked.
Nevertheless, this is a very good idea, and when someone does it, I'll be freaked out. _________________

If I'm reading the OP right, it should be an interesting idea to implament. You'll want to place the sensor somewhere near the base of the neck, otherwise it's going to be too unreliable as the vibration of the string is negligible at both anchored ends. The main difficulty would be avoiding additional strums from vibration recoil. A pickup system would be a massive bitch to implament, so that's out of the question too. I really don't see how this would work, unless the string was on a sliding track at the base, which would move just enough to trigger a pressurized switch, similar to the mechanism on the strum bar already. |
