my whammy bar is REALLY REALLY LOOSE and i dont want it to break off so any tips on fixing it and its a sg that came in the guitar package |

2 options. use a rubberband (isn't good-looking but it works!)
or take your SG apart and replace the spring. |

i pulled mine apart, pullrd the spring mechanism out and replaced it with an elastic band inside. it's not quite as firm as a brand new guitar, but compared to my friend's 2 month old SG you can't tell the difference.
i can pull it apart and get a photo or two if you would like. |
