Hey just saw this on my homepage. Guitar Hero III is now the highest grossing games of all time!

Holy shit wow. GH3 became amazingly popular for no apparent reason.

Doubling the sales of the entire series in one title is just incredible.

Wow, this is fucking awesome. To this day I still think gh3 is the best guitar hero game! gh3 > gh2 > gh1 > gh80s > gwt > gha

Oh I'm not saying it's a bad game, I'm just saying it had immense popularity which took the series by shock really since the previous GH's were nowhere near as popular.

And you wouldn't know it was an amazing game (or a crappy one for that matter) until after you bought it, usually.

Play it at a friends house then you go, holy shit i need this game, commercials, and reviews praising the game. how else would have it gotten a ton of sales?

Nah, maybe to more serious players. But guitar hero 3 has easier hopos which many people like, better graphics, songs, online play, and overall more polished game.

Let's not turn this into a "Which GH game is the best" Thread, we all have opinions.

On Topic: Guitar Hero 3 has done an amazing job in sales, i think just about every kid in my school either has it or knows what it is <_<, then again, probably everybody in existence knows what it is <_<

It's weird. GH3 just shot up there. GH2 did pretty good, GH3 just blew everything away.

This would be my best guess as to why GH3 did so well, it's way more accessible to all players.

I like GH:3 because it had hard solo's with easy ho/po's...I hate how the ho/po's are harder...yea they take more skill but I don't care, lol, GH3 will always be the game that started rhythm games for me because of a demo on the 360 I played with the controller lol.
