Does anyone else have ridiculous problems with the les paul when they're used to the gibson? I have GH3 for PS2, and that's what I'm really used to. About a month ago, I bought it for PS3 for online multiplayer and DLC. It came with the les paul controller. At the time, I was able to beat TTFAF without needing to use star power anywhere. When I played it on PS3, I started out with number of the beast, and failed immediately, so I figured I just needed to play a few easier songs to get the hang of the new setup. I went down to play rock and roll all nite, and failed in the first verse.

I worked at using the les paul, and I did get better at it, but still nowhere near my skill with PS2. My soloing was the least affected part, still much worse, but not awful, but my strumming and ability to hold a combo was completely obliterated. I tried the lag calibration, but it tested fine, I tried changing it on my own, but it made it worse, it seemed like there wasn't any lag.

Is this a common occurence for people switching from ps2 gibson to ps3 les paul? If so, is it because of the guitar itself, the ps3, or the fact that it's wireless instead of wired? Also, does anyone have any tips for getting good with the les paul?

Well, by the 'PS2 Gibson' I imagine you mean the SG.
The SG, is the best PS2 Guitar, and the PS3 Les Paul is horrible quality, unfortunately it's the only one for PS3.
The PS3 Les Paul has so many problems, and the SG is pretty much perfect.
Amirite?

The PS3 LP is the worst guitar out of them all.
It has unfixable lag that's different for every time you fret or strum. If you want to be able to FC things on PS3 without restarting easy songs 100 times and hope you'll get a lucky run, either get the TAC adapter so you can use your SG on the PS3 or get a WTar.

Or get one of the 3rd party guitars, or get the Rock Band guitars.

Anything but the Les Paul. The PS3 Les Paul is the worst guitar ever created.

It's actually worse than a PS2 Kramer. D:

Oh, thank god, so it isn't just me. The strum bar is a bit awkward, but it did still feel like I was hitting the notes

Also, has anyone else noticed that the GH3 SG is slightly better than the GH2 one? I find the frets to be a bit more limber.
