Sad to see Neversoft go from GH. Their setlists may not have been the best of late for the main releases, but gameplay has only gotten better. It's what keeps me from sticking with RB entirely. It just plays so much better than RB to me.
Not exactly excited by someone who's been porting the series and handling the DS games, but I'm willing to give VV a chance if they put effort into future releases. We'll see next year if they are good enough to bring us quality games, though I guess they are better off than Neversoft was when starting. Neversoft had to start from scratch practically and then work the series into the band realm. VV just has to keep the songs good, the gameplay strong, and maybe come up with some interesting ideas to keep the series fresh. |

Ouch.
Here's to hoping the genre doesn't die... and GH6 has a great setlist that makes NS go out with a bang. |

Anyone know if there's a non compete clause in their contracts? Wonder if any Neversoft employees might end up working at Harmonix?

Given that Harmonix themselves saw layoffs in December, I doubt they are hiring. Even if they were, the move from Los Angeles to Boston is a really big one. |

Maybe some might start an RBN charting service. |

Funny, I was thinking the same thing. They could call their company AlwaysHard or something so we know its them.
While I never really liked GH3 or WT, I felt 5 was a really well done game and I really enjoyed what little I played of BH, it felt like NS had finally hit its stride.
Here's hoping those crazy NS guys come through this ok. |

Below = the first and last signature banner I'll ever have.
Ladies and gentlemen, there is a silver lining in this cloud.
All of us are extremely sad over these turn of events, but all good things must come to an end.
I have no doubt in my mind that all of the people we and I have grown to know and love, will find something that utilizes the skills they've learned and their passion for gaming elsewhere.
We mourn now, but look forward. Look ahead my friends. Good things are on the horizon, you just have to believe. _________________

<3 Neversoft. Every game since GHWT kicked major ass and I can't see any company being able to 1up your work. Good luck in whatever the future may hold for you and may GH6 be the best one yet! _________________

A long, long time ago...
I can still remember
How that music used to make me smile.
And I knew if I had my chance
That I could make those people dance
And, maybe, they'd be happy for a while.
But February made me shiver
With every paper I'd deliver.
Bad news on the doorstep;
I couldn't take one more step.
I can't remember if I cried
When I read about his widowed bride,
But something touched me deep inside
The day the music died.
So bye bye, miss american pie.
Drove my chevy to the levee,
But the levee was dry.
And them good old boys were drinkin' whiskey and rye
Singin, "this'll be the day that I die."
"This'll be the day that I die." _________________

Alright before I start, let me make one thing clear. I do not hate Neversoft and/or its employees.
With that being said, I am over-ethusiastic about VV taking control of GH. They've done incredible jobs on GH3-GH5 for Wii, and they know what they're doing(again, look above). |
