when ever i try fc a song one of those notes come up where its like a long line of yellows and theys like blue and red next to it and theyre hammer ons i can never seem hit them =\ any help

well practice makes percfect, just go to practice mode amd hammer that section till you can hit it, slow down, the once you can 100% it on that speed, go up, and continue to do that till you can consistently FC that on full speed

Well, for zigzags under about 20 NPS, I really just play them from second position always.

For 20+ NPS "close zigzags," like BiM, I do this:

1111111111111
22_222_222_22
3___3___3___3

For 20+ NPS "separated zigzags," like the Red Snake, I do this:

1111111111111111111111111
22_222_222_222_222_222_22
1___1___1___1___1___1___1

I would tell you NOT to anchor the lower frets, if the zigzag is not really fast (The Day That Never Comes Solo C) it helps to stay in rhythm. I dunno about really fast ones but since you struggle with that kind of pattern I assume you're not about to try BiM or anything.
