ya but why would you want to put yourself throught that much hell just to play DDR when you could use the mat or a controller and just make life eaiser??

but good job on the "AA"s

Mats are crappy and unreliable and controller is cheating.

Cool, a ddr thread, haha.

Umm, well I have a cobalt flux with a bar and I've:
AA'd Maxx Unlimited
AA'd Max300 (Arcade)
A'd Paranoia Survivor
A'd PSMH and PSMO
AA'd Outer Limits

I also have 63 Heavy/Challenge AAA's at the moment.

DDR is still a very fun game, in my humble opinion. I played on dualshock and my preferred game was DDRMAX2 . In the end, I AAA'd every song but Xenon (1 great), Burning Heat (1 great, lol) and MaxX Unlimited (9 greats, at least I SDG'd everything ). For some odd reason, I quit playing the game, not because I found it boring but other video games got in between. I am thinking about going back and playing it on foot this time, since I happen to own a Cobalt Flux .

I live on the third floor of an apartment with a metal pad I can't use, so I use the dualshock just to keep check of my skills. When I was at my peak, I ended up getting, like, 130 AAA's with my pad on Stepmania (Yes, USB connector/138 Total), including Max 300, Legend Of Max, and Sakura. Unfortunatley, I broke my ankle shortly after and now I'm just trying to get back into it. Hey, however people reach their goals is their own wayand I can only congratulate.

I played on controller when I first started because the softpads are shit and used that to help transfer to pad in the arcade but its NOT the same thing. Not to mention the timing window on home versions is ass huge compared to the arcade.

Example: I AAA'd Paranoia Survivor Heavy on Controller. I have like 8 Greats on it in the Arcade.

I REALLY hope you're a troll otherwise bullshit. ANYONE that AAA'd LoM would not be bragging about clearing Xepher Oni. And Xepher is also a terrible chart and annoying song and is NOWHERE NEAR the hardest song in the game.

why do we even use the term "music games" anymore when we could just say "Guitar Hero clones" in reference to the game that invented the genre
