Band Hero Drum Kit Pedal Doublehitting, any fixes?

So I bought a WoR bundle, which came with the Band Hero drum kit. It was great for a couple of weeks, but now the pedal suddenly will double-hit for no reason, and I was wondering if I can fix it in any way. Thanks for any info

I've heard placing a few tissues where the drum pedal hits will stop double hitting, assuming the band hero kit's drum pedal is the same as the wt drum pedal.
