Recently a friend of mine exposed me to some really weird music from the 90s. Mr. Bungle was an experimental, avant-garde and somewhat-metal band, a "side project" of Mike Patton from Faith No More. This week I bought their latest studio album, California, which I believe is amazing. I have listened to all three of their studio albums and my favorite is still their last one. I feel like I have lived under a rock for a long time because I had not heard of them before. They split up in 2004 though...
Here's a link to one of their songs. I'd recommend you explore a bit if it's your first time hearing them, because their stuff is really different from an album to another.
So, any fans around? _________________

I recently checked these guys out after finding out that Mike Patton was the singer for Faith no More and remembering that he did an EP with Dillinger Escape Plan.
Holy shit I was not prepared for that first album...
Mr. Bungle is probably the most off the wall, insane, and completely messed-up album I've ever heard, with Squeeze Me Macaroni and Egg being probably the most off the wall. There really is no way to prepare yourself for Mr. Bungle, though. It just, happens...
I have heard the other two albums from them, though, with California being my second favorite. _________________

toymachine is a huge fan of Mr. Bungle, as well was dho. Both of them got me into them about 4-5 years ago. I love California, and my favorite song definitely has to be Holy Filament. Just so epic sounding. _________________

I am listening to the debut album (currently at Stubb (A Dub)). It is whole hosts of fucked up. And is definitely the most fucked up album I have ever heard.
And I thought Devil Doll and Gorguts were challenging listens. This takes the cake as far as challenging listens. I can't even think how these would play if they were on GH/RB. _________________
