Yep, clickers are easy to remove. If you really want them out, do as I tell ya.

Does adding Velcro/electrical tape/rubber prevent double strums? My Wii Les Paul double strums on upstrokes and it's very annoying. |

I just painted my old black SG and gave the velcro a whirl. Looks like it will work well.
Here's a pic.

i've had masking tape on my LP for a while and it really has helped a lot. today replaced it with velcro and added some to my RO as well. i played Misirlou for the first time in a while, and by the middle i was 20k over my usual score at that point. the superior control this mod provides is amazing! _________________

lol just an FYI,yes you can infact tale out the clicker.i did it last night and it its MUCH nicer to play now.its smother and quiter.next im gunna do the velcro thing to make it even more silent.
P.S. removing the clicker requires some fairly violent prying in the base on the srtum buttons and is kinda dangerous so if your afraid of breakin the guitar at all id advise against it.but if your like me and dont give a shit if you gota go get a new guitar then i 100% recomend removing the clickers. _________________

I decided to revisit my old GH&RB games, and the clicking was driving me nuts! I did the Clicker Removal Mod mentioned earlier, which helped a lot, but now I have another problem - the plastic-on-plastic click of the strum bar when it springs back into place is about 1/8 count behind the beat I strum on, and is throwing me off!
I tried adding some Velcro to the tops of the switches, but that changes the depth at which the controller registers the input. Anyone have any advice on dampening this new clicking? |
