And Slayer confirmed on their website too. What the shit.
I saw Slayer once in concert, and it was absolutely fucking brutal. I was 17, and weighed about 105 pounds. Dead center second row was a scary place to be for someone my size. I literally lifted both of my legs off the ground and dead not fall. Amazing and loud show.
Rest in Peace, Jeff. Many people will miss you. _________________

I think I read somewhere that Slayer was planning to start writing material again and put out a new album sometime in the near future. Sad to see Jeff go down slowly over the past couple years. Was a great artist.

im in shock this morning, just woke up and saw that. this fucking suck. i saw slayer 5 times and man i cant get enough of them. the moshpits are one scary place to be IMO, one of the worst i've been into.
RIP Jeff Hanneman
EDIT: turns out im un-educated, he wasnt playing since 2011 and he's been replaced by 2 guitarists since during live perfomances. _________________

Well, one question I have to ask now is "Will Slayer continue on without Jeff or simply break up, with or without finishing their unfinished album?"
Jeff was a founding member of Slayer, so this is a good question?
Either way, this fucking sucks. Especially since I've never seen Slayer live. Also, how would that spider bite have contributed to liver failure?

When Jeff was in the hospital, they had a replacement guitarist perform on tour in his absence (at Jeff's request). I don't see them hanging it up just yet.
Also, last I heard nobody was sure if the spider bite contributed to the liver failure. _________________

I know that. I was kinda asking how a spider bite that inflicted a flesh-eating disease on his arm would medically contribute to liver failure. That really doesn't make sense, medically speaking.
I've been hearing rumors about Jeff being an alcoholic towards the final months. I'm not sure if I'll bite just yet, though. _________________
