I'll write up the method I used to make this work soon, but thanks to editing config/gen/long_cheats.dtb to contain a new cheat, and adding a scripting hook in ui/gen/game.dtb, I am now able to (within reason) make the game slow down or speed up the actual song, GH3 speedhack-style. I also have hooks (across multiple files in ui/gen) to display the song speed after the name of the song everywhere but the actual setlist. Pretty sure I can use that as a basis for also creating some sort of on-screen acknowledgment of a bot being used (perhaps by putting "(BOT)" after the song title, perhaps by making the caption "AS BOTTED BY").
Here's the reveal video, from before I made the song percentage visible. GH2 WORLD FIRST - SPEED MODIFIER CHEAT CODES
