I was finishing painting my SG today and after the clearcoat (Krylon triple-thick crystal clear glaze) dried the surface had a rough, dusty texture in some areas. The sides and a few areas on the top turned out fine, but others have a dull appearance and you can feel a dusty texture to them. I'm not sure whether it was dust settling into it while it was drying (I was painting outside) or if it was something else that caused it.
Does anyone have any ideas what may have caused this or how to avoid it? I'm planning to sand off the clearcoat and reapply it, and I'm hoping to avoid it this time around.

Dullness I think means that you didn't spray it evenly.
On my XPlorer, the sides are kinda rough, because I didn't spray them well enough. Though I didn't use clear, it still seems like a similar situation.

Usually if it's dull and dusty, you didn't spray enough. You have to lay that stuff on very thick in order for it to cover well.
