|
|
This is for all the Washington DC, Southern MD and NoVA area players...
Every FRIDAY night at the HARD-TIMES CAFE in WOODBRIDGE, VA there is a Guitar Hero series night.
From about 9pm till 1-something am, there is Free-play Guitar Hero 2/3/80's (PS2 version for right now...) being played on a LARGE Projection screen by a nearly always crowded cafe.
During the night all skill levels and game types will be played until the late night Tourny.
Broken up by amount of players and skill levels, players battle in Pro-Face off in One-Round Elim. for a prize,(sometimes CASH!).
You are allowed,(as said by the event-head 'Clint'), to bring your own SG or other guitar.
AS an aside...I am in the works to get them to do a RockBand Night also and will have more on that as it comes...
PM me for more Info! _________________

Do we have to bring our own guitar? I currently don't own GH or any guitar.
Also if the free play stuff is up until around 1 a.m. when will the expert tournament begin? |

No, you actually can not bring your own guitar. As far as the tourny times go, its whenever there is enough people on the list signed up. No real set-time. I went last night and got beat by this guy who was awesome (GH2 "Trippin'" on expert.)
It was very crowded and lots of people played.
If you guys get the chance come on out. I will say that most of the regulars play on GH2 and seem to not like 3 for some reason. But when I play i try to get them to throw 3 in.
As far as RockBand, Im still working on it. The people who run the event thought that they had to do it as a tourny, but i told them about how to do it as a party game and they are going to hit me later about it. Go to www.2guysproductions.net and leave a msg saying that you want to play RB.
PM me if you need more info... _________________

Just to let you know its NOT in the mall..its down the street from it. In Festival Plaza...there is a Staples and Laser Quest in the same strip mall.
Its NOT all ages...it is 21 and up as it is in the Bar section of the restaurant.
I still havent heard word back about RB so there is still a wait on that.
Maybe after the New Year... _________________
