i was unscrewing everything as i was about to clean the laser, but on one screw, i kept unscrewing and it fell on the floor down the vent...
i screwed everything else in and it doesn't read discs without all the screws, obviously.
does anyone know how i can fix this or any products that use the same screws?

I would assume they sell replacements. Try checking the Sony website, or if that doesen't work, find out what type of screw it is and ask about it at a hardware store.

Edit: I know there probably is something that has that type of screw, I just have no idea what does. Although some video game consoles have special screws (Nintendo Gamecube) I don't think that is the case.

right, but i was talking about if there was anyway to fix it without buying a replacement (unscrewing something around the house or electrical tape or something)

i don't have any of those screws in, its my ghetto flip top and my ps2 reads everything fine. the lid should sit in place just fine without them.
you sure you didn't mess anything else up?
