I was going for the Hendrix achievement on GH3 doing lefty flip on easy, and I suddenly failed the song. When it took me to the menu, it kept registering a down button press. I found that when I life the strum bar sligtly up, it stops registering down pushes, but it is impossible to play like this.
I'm planning on taking it apart when I get a chance this week, but I figured I'd post here for advice/suggestions in case anybody has run into the problem themselves. |

This happend to me with my third party guitar, probably, the spring that lifts the strum bar up when you strum broke, you just have to search for a spring like it, same size, same strength or, something close enough to fit in the button case and your problem is fixd |

The spring seems to be fine though. The strum bar goes back to the center position after being strummed up or down, it's just registering a continuous downstrum in that position. |

It looks like it's going back up, but it stops a little bit befor the center, that's why registers downstrum, it happened to me. |

This happened to me exactly two days ago and I was about to search/post. ATM I've got a piece of masking tape holding the bar in the up position, hopefully realigning it, but it's been that way for two days, so I'm not expecting it to work. I've got a new Xplorer, anyone know a good place to pick up the specialty screwdriver? _________________

In that case, where would I be able to find a replacement spring? Are there any guides on how to replace the spring? I could probably manage without, but it would make things easier if there is. |

For a replacement try www.guitarheroparts.com, if they don't have the spring or mechanism that you need, check your local hardware store or radioshack for small springs. |
