1. I assume you mean ghtunes
2. it's there to make music. even though thats not usually how people use it. |
Why would you even bother posting that....? |
Same question.
It was to inform you of it's actual purpose. |
Oh, really? I thought the only purpose of GHTunes was to make super hard "training" songs and shredfests to provide more challenge to the super skilled players.
You mean there's another use for GHTunes? I think nobody had any clue about that. O. O _________________

That noone said: I like open notes as long as they aren't ho/po's
Seriously hitting a open ho/po note is annoying as hell! _________________

not to sound stupid.. (but I guess I can't help it.) How would you do that? I thought that HO/PO's were techniques that didn't use strumming? |

well, most people are used to the "GH2 style" hopos (the programming that all Harmonix engines other than GH1 use, and Neversoft have emulated with varying degrees of success), which is where in between hopo notes, you can release all fret buttons when they aren't necessary and simply press the hopo notes as appropriate.
"GH1 style" hopos are based on anchoring, for example if you have G then R, you must hold down G prior to pressing R during its timing window to perform a hammeron, and conversely for R then G you have to hold R and G and release R during the G's timing window to perform a pulloff (without the GH1 requirements you still want to do this at times for trills and such).
Open notes obviously can't be "pressed" at the right time like in the first case, so they necessarily work "GH1 style", where in order to play an open note pulloff, you have to hold the prior note as the open PO approaches and release the fret button once you're in the open note's timing, enforcing proper pulloff technique, which feels alien to many people. _________________

I've done some testing and from what i can tell, it doesnt have to be the previous note, you can press any fret and as long as you let go of it while the open is in the timing window it will hit it, same with multiple slider notes in a row _________________
