I think this is hilarious.
Then again, I don't really play online games.
It's down until the power problems in the northwest are fixed. _________________

Yeah, there's like 4 people dead, and 1.75 million people without power |

Ok, the 4 people dead isn't hilarious, and the fact that the power is out isn't funny either. What's funny is that the Steam people decided to put all the servers in one place :p _________________

Not necessarily. But, you might be glad if you did.
Steam is an online application run by Valve where you can download their games/play them. One thing a lot of people hate about Valve is that you need an internet connection and Steam in order to play, say, the single player campaign on Half-Life 2.
Most people, now-a-days, should have an internet connection as it is, and it's all worth it when you get to play games like these.
They're continuing the Half-Life 2 saga with new episodes that further the experience and story.
They're releasing a sort of puzzle game that is going to revolutionize the idea of puzzles (maybe), video game physics (oh yeah), and portals (better than Preys successful attempt).
When you've buy Half-Life 2, you get to play different online games like Day of Defeat: Source (WWII shooter), CounterStrike: Source (tactical shoot), and Half-Life 2 Deathmatch (basically, the game Half-Life 2 but you kill each other).
Another bonus is Goldeneye: Source. A team is putting together what is a multiplayer right now (I think they have a single player in mind) that is the entire Goldeneye game from the Nintendo 64 by RARE with graphics using the Source engine, that of which is from the Half-Life 2 game.
And that is Steam in kind of a nutshell. _________________
