I uploaded a vid of a run where I got 284120. So you can at least see where most of the squeezes are. I'll try to make one with the extra squeeze this week.

Yeah, about what I figured. I couldn't get a good run on TLB or Stop for the life of me, which was very frustrating. Also, I consider just about all of those Institutionalized scores insane. I've never done better than 329K even without the twist!

concerning the CYHMK score, i'm pretty sure optimal is 284,400 to 500, since I know you can get 284,200 without the really hard squeeze in the solo

gay i thought that i did pretty good on all of the songs this week
except tattooed love boys
cuz i assumed everybody else in my league was really good at it
but inever expected to get 2nd place for institutionalized
after i got that score i couldnt even get it sitting down |

I plan to kick the crap out of Elephant Bones this week. Otherwise I'm going for 'center of the pack' scores. At least Institutionalized is out of the way, I can barely 5* that song in any case. I find it annoying more than fun

I'm as surprised as you are. I thought I'd be sucking my way out of this song, but I somehow managed to FC verse one with the twist, and had a 'Hot damn' expression. Everything else fell into place, and at the end I was like this:

Man, that's crazy. I thought I figured out a really good way to hold the controller, but there was absolutely -no- way I could rapid strum those verses, so I easily broke my combo during them. The mass chords in the choruses were pretty much as fast as I could strum. I just... man. wow.
It's really discouraging though - I thought I had Institutionalized like PERFECT, but I didn't think everyone would master this twist even better than me. I thought for sure I'd be a top 5 on that one, but instead I'm not even in the top half. That's just... ouch. Sigh...

I typed my TLB score wrong; should've read 326974
Oh well, no big deal.
I did waaaaay better than expected though. My fingers hurt, and lately I've been having odd cravings for a pepsi. I went to McDonalds in fact, and ordered a pepsi. But they wouldn't give it to me (without a meal of some sort). All I wanted was a pepsi. Just a pepsi.

If you get that squeeze then you don't get hold pts from the red note though.

waiting to use the SP during the hold is losing you points since every two beats of the hold makes up for one note worth. Getting that squeeze already makes up for two beats worth of that hold, plus the rest of that little solo part definitely is worth more than the hold points in that red note.

Yeah you're right. My point was that you can't just add 200 points to a run without the squeeze if you are trying to guess what an optimal score would be. That run (without the squeeze) would include hold points from that hold, which you would not get if you got the squeeze. Therefore you gain 200, but you also lose a few from the hold, so really you're only going to gain maybe 160-180.
