I'll probably fail terribly at this but I might as well guess. Maybe I'll get lucky. I'd most likely be set if it ever came down to reg date though, lol. _________________

As far as I know, the PS3 hardware is PS2 compatible (someone correct me if I'm wrong), so PS3 and PS2 users will be lumped together. |
This is correct. In your case, select PS3 as your console preference and the hardware should work fine. _________________

Chords are counted as 1 note, much like how a note streak counter counts notes. |

JCirri, first post of the thread wrote: | For clarification, the official note count is defined as the song's full-combo note streak, which means each chord counts as just a single note. |

Interesting contest. Did some quick calculations while watching the video. I think I have a good idea on the upper bound, the tricky part is in figuring out the chords and holds. Good luck everyone. _________________

I am SO going to try this once I become less sleep deprived.
Presuming the items will be shipped to the UK if I win, of course. _________________

Entered!
I just wanted to say, Hellashes, your style sounds like a crazy mix of Buckethead and All that Remains, to me, and I like it! Good job =) _________________

The video is quite clever, it covers up the score and does an insanely high BPM so no matter how much you slow down the video, its nearly impossible to decipher how many notes there are at a given time. A tip of my hat to everyone involved. _________________

Wrong, the BPM wasn't changed, the track speed was. _________________

I will definitely be entering this. I've already got a pretty good idea of the amount within my first run through of the video. My knowledge of advanced mathematics may prove to be handy in this situation. Good luck to all! |

The obvious problem with counting every note is that if you're not EXACT with the number of chords in the song you're guessing over, not under :O So if you're planning on counting the circles, good luck.
Just be glad he didn't put/use any Star Power in there. If the lightning strikes wouldn't screw you up, the blue seizure-flash would . _________________
