|

Hey guys!
Just wondering if there were any tournaments in Minnesota. If it's too far for me, such as farther then Minneapolis/St. Paul, I will not be there. One thing that would be cool is if there was a tournament at the Target Center.
Anyways, thanks for reading this. If so, please post if there is going to be one soon. |

Really? That's literally two minutes away from my house! If I've been missing those for years, .... wow |

It was actually at Mystic Lake Casino in Prior Lake (where I'm from), and I went to that tournament; it was a crock of shit. All rounds were played on medium except for the championship matchup, which was on hard. All the TV's were uncalibrated HDTV's, and the guitar was some third-party garbage that I'd never seen before. The whole tournament started at about 9am for absolutely no reason, as downtime between rounds was as long as three hours (obviously to let people get suckered into gambling).
I managed to bullshit my way into the quarterfinals, losing to a guy playing Slow Ride on medium, in which he missed once and I missed twice (yes, I missed twice on medium). At least I won $50 in chips (which I then turned into fifty real dollars at the blackjack tables) and got a free shirt for making it to the QF, but it was hardly worth my time.
I've never known of any other tourneys in MN. Outside of iamchris4life - and anyone that bothers to read this thread - it doesn't seem like Minnesota gives a shit about GH. _________________

Thanks people for the help.
I just want to know cause I want to play in a popular one and record me and my friend in it. BTW, FlyingMonkeysWii, what days do they have the tournaments at Dave and Busters? I've been to that place a few times and NEVER disappointed. It's a fun place but I have heard that It's not as good as MO's one. I always go to it when I'm at Kansas City, MO.
Anyways THANKS AGAIN! Please reply SOON. |

I called the Dave and Buster's in Maple Grove to ask about it, and the guy on the line that said KS95 had done a promotion a month or two ago, and it was only a one day thing, so they don't have any. I'm sure if enough people called expressing an interest they might host one, but right now it doesn't look like it. |

I'll maybe have to make a tournament for fun. I've thought about it before but I'd have to find somewhere that would be willing to join along.
I'll say later if I can try or not.
I'll at least try :P _________________

If we could possibly get together a list of people that'd be interested in having a tournament, planning and putting something together would be a lot easier. And sero, if you could update the OP with some of this stuff, we might be able to make a tourney happen. |

I have a place in mind
Has anyone heard of the SOS club? I played in a tournament there like a year and half ago. I think they'd go for it again.
I'll call them tomorrow and see if they'd like too. _________________

That'd be great. I actually live in Maple Grove, so any place in the metro area is feasible. |

Ok guys sorry. I have been just busy with school work right now, and haven't gotten to get onto scorehero in a LONG TIME. I read all your replys and BTW I am a High Schooler, not in college. What does OS mean? I'm sorry if I don't know what that means but just tell me anyways. I would love to do a tourney because...
1.) I have ALL GH games except van halen now and P.S. (they are ALL for PS2, sorry Xbox360, PS3, Wii lovers)
2.) If we could get a bunch of people to come, I'm sure we could if we wanted to, make a small profit off of it (NOT saying that we will or would do it, it's just an IDEA)
ANYWAYS tell me your response to this, and just to tell you, I live near Carleton/St. Olaf College. So if we were to do one, it would have to be CLOSE to there, if possible.
THANKS!
