Hey, scorehero! Many of you may remember last year when I tried (and failed) to FC RB 1 and 2 on stream for charity. Well, I'm doing the same thing for GH5 on December 26th!
Basic info can be seen here: http://www.vvv-gaming.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=38378
More info (such as the actual site which is being made as we speak) will be made available upon finalization. There will be a donation link on the page once the event is underway, but if you can't watch it, just go to http://smokyprogg.chipin.com/smokyproggs-marathon-for-leukemia-and-lymphoma and click the "ChipIn!" button on the right of the page to be redirected to the paypal page where you can donate.
I'm really excited for this and hope all of you are as well! Try to watch even if it is for a little while. Or at least help spread the word to your GH friends! I love all of the support I get from you guys! _________________

GH5 is much easier than RB because there is no strum limit. How long are you going to be playing and how often are you taking breaks and for how long? _________________

I'm playing until I either have the FGFC or just pass out. The later will happen somewhere around 2+ days in probably. I stayed up for 56 hours straight a couple weeks ago for finals so I can do it. _________________

*head explodes from excitement*
Perhaps my favourite GH memory of all time was your 24-hour GH1 marathon (specifically the Frankenstein FC). So one can understand why I'm looking to this, right? _________________

Besides GGAHT and Lazy Eye nothing is close to the limit in RB and RB2 on-disk songs.
Good luck Smoky, you should be able to get the FGFC or at least FGFC -1 in 2 days. _________________

A very worthy cause indeed. I wish you all the best smoky, and will be sure to donate. _________________

Let's see, that's *checks calendar* Saturday...if I can get my internet working (tis weird, Charter was out to fix it, my Live works but not my computer internet) I'll definitely be watching as much as I can. The only question is, are there any songs that will actually give you any trouble? _________________

Where's the link for the stream? Is it only watchable for donators? Because I unfortunately can't donate due to facts like that I live in Brazil and that I'm a minor but I'd love to see this. |

To all that may be interested, he FC'ed 84/85 songs, with #85 being 21st Century Schizoid Man. He probably spent about 24 hours of total play time just trying to FC it. It looks like he finally passed out around 6am this morning. And he has also raised $400 since the start of the event! (Feel free to donate more at http://tinyurl.com/smokydonate ) Well done Smoky! Get some well deserved rest! _________________
