Ive been trying to go for the 15 stars in DJ shadow presents(5* all of expert, too, for that matter) on expert, but i cant seem to do it.
I've 5*'ed most everything up to that setlist (except for a few random songs) so, i know im not terrible at the game.
My controller isnt broken because i can do rockit perfectly fine.
I think the problem is the really fast up scratches. I can do like two or three in a row, but when theres like a whole sequence of up scratches, i cant do it. any tips?

Firstly... fuckin love your avatar lol <3.

OT though, for a series of repeated upscratches there is really only 2 ways of handling it. One technique that seems to work very very well is to lift your finger up and kind of tap down/forward for each scratch. So you are only pressing down as if it were a beat, but you do so at an angle that slides the disc forward slightly to pick up the forward scratch. You then just slide the disc back slightly once your finger is up off the button and repeat. This is probably the simplest solution for a quick five star, but in the long run I suggest practicing the following technique.

For a long stream of up/down scratches, I personally will compensate by turning the disc the opposite direction a short ways before the notes show up. For example, if I have a stream of up scratches coming, I will turn the disc 90 degrees backwards so I can go forward repeatedly without losing the buttons, and without having to slide the disc back between scratches.

Hope this helps, if you are confused message back and I'll try to make a video or somethin...it's too early in the morning to make one now though, sorry.

Good luck on the DJ Shadow set 5*, you'll get it soon!
