Maybe because they're good enough to deserve it?

I'll answer all of you:

Yes, actually, Bohemian Rhapsody always won since 2000, but Led Zeppelin won this year...

There was too much AC/DC because they came here in 2009, and made an epic show (I was there).

T.N.T in 36 and 8? Comfortably Numb in 50 and 10? They mess up every single year, it is actually normal.

My friends talked about the lack of Eruption... I agree, but it seems that the people that voted don't. Yes, it needs more Ozzy.

Why is Dream Theater on a classic rock list? I ask to you: why is Unforgiven III, Rock 'n Roll Train, Black Ice, Yellow and The Day That Never Comes on a classic rock list? I don't know also...

Well, that's it. Also, FYI there's only one brazilian song, and it's Angra - Lisbon (english lyrics)

I must admit this list is very nice. Eagles is just too high, IMO. Obviously Stairway in first, cliche... It's just not classic, as I see Kings of Leon, Nickelback and Green Day. But I liked it a lot.

Help is better than Hey Jude and Come Together together, IMO.

I must be the only person who thinks Rock And Roll Train just isn't a high ranking song

What amuses me is that of the 10 Black Sabbath songs in the OP's list, a Dio era song (Heaven and Hell...why not Sign of the Southern Cross?) is the highest ranking.

Obviously it was meant to be #22, but that spot was already inhabited by *shudders* Louie Louie.

When the song was made is irrelevant. Dream Theater != Classic rock, rofl.

A total lack of Steely Dan? I smell a conspiracy.

I'm gonna have to agree with Richard. Eruption needs to be on the best 500 rock songs of all time list, what happened there? Brazilians don't like instrumentals?

By definition, Eruption and all other instrumentals aren't songs. Songs have lyrics. They are considered "pieces of music"

But yeah, the top of the list (top 50, all that I read) seemed decent. I was wtfing at the Metallica in there considering they are metal in my mind... but whatever. Seems like a decent list. They should do one with just top 100 (500 is a fuck ton) metal songs or rock songs, not just classic.

Just because a word is used differently every day doesn't mean the definition is changed.

Just because a word is used differently every day doesn't mean the definition is changed.

Yes it does. No one person or committee decides on the definition of a word, because that would be entirely arbitrary. Language naturally changes over time and the job of a dictionary is to keep up with that change. If everyone uses the word "song" to describe an entirely instrumental piece of music, there's no reason whatsoever why that word should be unacceptable. Spoiler: this is why dictionaries have more than one edition.

On topic, cliche list, progressive metal has no place on it, repeated songs render it entirely worthless, no reason for indignation at the orderings because it's obviously a horrible, horrible list that hasn't even been double-checked using a computer.

I just want to, you know, get my name out there. BTW, it updates every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Was just the first two, decided to do Saturdays as well.
Serious advice now: No-one likes indecision in their work, so find what you like that you're even remotely good at, and stick with it. Don't flit from one thing to another, because that just smacks of a large lack of determination and drive. And people don't like you for that, and won't remember you for it. I mean, I get that you have a plucky spirit and a willingness to try new things, but there's a limit, man.
I might knock it down to just Thursday and Friday.
