I don't have much but my friend has an original Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon vinyl. His dad got it way back when. I touched it.... best moment of my life . _________________

I just ordered the Alaska double LP off of ebay.
I can't wait for it to get here. I think I will start collecting. I think my dad has some vintage beatles albums on vinyl. I think he may even have a Sgt. Pepper original _________________

Ugh, I was reluctant to order from MerchNow again after they screwed up my last order so badly, but they were the only people selling the Circa Survive reissues that went up a couple weeks ago.
So I bit the bullet and bought Juturna, and the dorks over there sent me The Inuit Sessions instead. Now I gotta wait even longer to spin the album I've wanted for so long _________________

Ive recently started collecting vinyls just to have them. I have Foo Fighters, Mastodon, Guns N' Roses, Pearl Jam, and Metallica albums. Right now they hang in a pattern on my wall for decoration purposes but as my collection grows, is love to get a hold of a record player. _________________

My parents kept some of their records. Here are some highlights:
A bunch of Chicago albums
REO Speedwagon- You Can Tune a Piano, But You Can't Tuna Fish
Billy Joel- 52nd Street
Foreigner- 4 (the one that looks like the movie countdown as the cover and has Juke Box Hero)
Bruce Springsteen- Born in the USA
Kansas- Leftoverture _________________

I know somebody who just got a Beatles record that was signed by all four of them off eBay for like, two grand.
And he doesn't even like the Beatles. _________________

Well after calling a few weeks ago to get this sorted out I was told they had no more copies of Juturna and that I should just send the LP back for a refund. I waited on it to see it they got any returns in, and when I called today I was told they had one Juturna that was returned with jacket damage. I told them I didn't mind the damage and that I would return for that, but the dude said he would just send it to me for free! How cool!
Also, just ordered Between the Buried and Me's The Great Misdirect and Taking Back Sunday's Tell All Your Friends on pink and purple vinyl respectively. So excited that TAYF is being repressed since I've been jonesing for a copy for months. _________________

I'm going to sound completely clueless about music but what band is that from?
Also, I wish I had a record player, I really like the idea of having vinyl. I'd love to get some Portugal or Streetlight on vinyl; also, Foxy Shazam's Introducing album would be AMAZING. I reaaaaaally like that album, it's insanely good.
SeaMoney I need to find you so we can talk about music, we seem to have pretty similar taste.
EDIT
Interpunk.com has Somewhere in the Between and Everything Goes Numb on 12" vinyl. I may just buy those right now without caring just so I have them, because SitB is on light blue vinyl and effing PRETTY while EGN is just a freaking amazing album. _________________

Well, it depends a lot on what you're looking for. I'm not too knowledgeable on purchasing classic vinyl, but for newer bands the first place you want to check is the band's record label. If that proves unsuccessful, some popular distros to check include interpunk.com, shockhound.com, hottopic.com, as well as vinylcollective.com. Obviously, eBay is always an option too, though obviously recommended as a last resort.

All I Have to Offer is My Own Confusion by Fireworks. They're from Livonia/Royal Oak so they're our hometown heroes. The album is a pop-punk masterpiece.
I had It's Complicated Being a Wizard on vinyl for awhile before I sold it to a friend. Vinyl Collective is normally the place for Portugal vinyl, as out of print records by them go up for sale there quite frequently. As for Introducing, the record sounds great. Also, for $12 at VC you can get both variants of the album (clear splatter and a half red/half orange copy) or one variant for $9.
I tend to infrequently pop up in IRC. Maybe I'll hang around more and we can chat about tunes. _________________
