Finally got Juturna a week or two ago. Been too busy listening to it to take a picture
Also, for my birthday today my parents got me This Will Be the Death of Us by Set Your Goals...
...as well as The Great Misdirect!
They also said they pre-ordered Option Paralysis as well as The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me!

The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me arrived today.
This is actually a really nice package from what I expected to be a rather lazy release. The jacket is really sturdy, and the sleeves are very pretty.
And since I've been waiting months to be able to finally listen to this album on vinyl, it would be just my luck that my record player would short today and stop working
I promised myself I wouldn't listen to Option Paralysis in any form until my vinyl copy arrives. Since that's next week, I better find a new turntable fast. _________________

The first disc from the 99 Songs of Revolution series is released today; I'm curiour as to how it'll sound on vinyl versus CD. I've only heard two of the songs so far, both sound awesome; no idea where it will be available near me, however, which sucks. Anyone planning on getting this one? _________________

For a Christmas gift from my girlfriend, I got 2 vinyl records. One was the Beatles' "Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band" and the other was the Rolling Stones' "Some Girls". Both were originals. I had never owned a vinyl record before cause my parents didn't seem to buy them, but when I had both those records in my hands, I was overcome with such facination that I just had to collect more and listen to them on a record player (need to buy one now lol).
My facination was multipled by 100 when I went to London 2 weeks ago for a Beatles tour. My happiness on the tour was inmense, but I'd have to say the best part afterwards was the collector shop that my girlfriend and I went to after. I saw soo many vinyl records. If English pounds weren't so painful on my wallet, I might literally have bought 20 records there. But I settled for an original copy of "Let it Be"
So having been to that store, my goal is to now collect more of these vinyls and buy a record player for sure, but my ultimate goal is to collect all of the Beatles' albums _________________

I have targeted a record that will be my first, and I intend to purchase it at the start of April. I will report back here once I join the ranks of vinyl collectors. _________________

Kickass mail day. Both my Dillinger and Copeland albums came in today!
Copeland - Beneath Medicine Tree - Academy Fight Song (Seaweed Green/Grey Swirl /200)
So happy to finally have this record. I kicked myself for so long after missing the first pressing, but I got lucky enough to grab the second pressing. This record looks gorgeous too (and looks better than any of the first pressing variants, and is still just as limited). Sounds great, too.
Dillinger Escape Plan, The - Option Paralysis - Party Smasher/Season of Mist (Clear /500)
OH MY GOD FINALLY! Waiting for this thing was absolute torture! Holding out on listening to Option Paralysis from the stream to the leak to the actual release to now was painful, but ultimately worth it. I can't speak for the digital version, but holy shit this record sounded incredible.
On top of that, this has the coolest packaging ever. The insert/dust sleeve is really thick, plus the jacket is just fucking badass. It's got a turn wheel in it that lets you change the album art:
I also finally got my hands on a record I've been seeking for two years, 1984 by Van Halen.
I've been trying to find a used copy in a store, but after two years of that proving fruitless I went to eBay and snagged this puppy for $0.99 haha. Record itself is in perfect condition, while the jacket is pretty worn. But it still has the original insert, as well the guy's original receipt for it, which just so happened to be dated April 3rd, 1984! _________________

I eventually plan on starting to buy Vinyl records after we fix our record player. My dad has quite the collection (various 80's bands, some Led Zeppelin, and even some Beatles). _________________

I have quite a few myself. I did have 11 Led Zeppelin records (all different) but sold them off since I'm not a fan. Got quite a bit money out of them too.
I can't think of all the album names but here are some of the artists.
Boston (their debut album, freakin' awesome)
Foreigner
Fleetwood Mac - Rumors
Lynyrd Skynyrd
Elton John
The Beatles
Creedance Clearwater Revival
Wow, my brain is coming to a blank right now. I do have more but I'd have to go look and see what they were and I don't want to do that right now. I love vinyls though One of these days I'll collect them seriously I think. |
