I see that you are using photobucket to host your images, try saving as BMP and hosting it on ImageShack for your next addition. |
From what I could tell, none of my submissions darkened the image, and I used photobucket. DanSoup, however, is using imageshack, and a couple of his submissions have darkened it. |
Hm, I'm seeing just the opposite. Comparing sedron's image at the top of the last page (ImageShack) to the next image, which is yours (photobucket), the image darkens. The next image on the page is DanSoup's (ImageShack) and the image became lighter. Then the next image is yours, and it again darkens.
(Take a look at thing in the upper left corner and you will notice that it becomes a darker shade of green in your submissions)
In other news, I suppose I will add something later today. This thing is near in completion. _________________

I think the reason one of mine is darker is a cockup on my part and if you analise your images you do notice they are slightly darker.
For example. the green coming from the little UFO by the tree in my last submission has RGB values of 76 195 2
Where as the same part on yours has RGB values of 65 189 1.
(For those wondering, white is 255 255 255 and black is 0 0 0
In other news...
Added at the bottom left, twisty blue and white thing and HANDS! _________________

Just checked by copying each of the three pictures in question (the top three in page 11) into paint separately, then copying a square section of Sedron's picture's green in the top left corner into the same bit on mine. Exact same colour. Then I did it with DanSoup's. The same green from the same place was significantly darker in DanSoup's.

I know the part of the picture you're talking about, but I can't say for certain it was my submission that did that, and I'm 90% sure based on MS paint copy-paste tests like what I explained above that my images are not significantly changing the colour.
I'm not sure what square to go to next, because of the adjacent squares rule I can't do anything in the bottom left or right corners. Maybe I'll throw in the polar bear's feet. _________________

We definitely needed another star in the upper-right hand corner. _________________

Also if you want good file and image hosting, try Anyhub!
A friend of mine started it and we're still mates even though he moved to Melbourne.
You don't even need to sign up and you still get permanent hosting, with upload limits of up to 10GiB at a time. We even have an app for the iPhone and iPod Touch! _________________

Using space age melding technology, I have been able to combine our modifications in perfect harmony. _________________

Let's finish this, it's so close to being done!
I added the little, red, bat-like things in the upper right
One is happy, the other is either unhappy, or has a mustache
11 Spaces to go! _________________

There are a lot of compression artefacts there; did you save as .jpg? If so you should save as .png or .bmp _________________

There are only two squares left that I'm able to do (the two in the bottom left corner), but I can't think of anything good. I tried making one a week ago, but I just couldn't get anything other than lines or something.
I with I could do any of the other ones, haha. _________________

Just a heads up fellas, STOP SAVING IT AS A .JPG!!
We really want to preserve the quality of this and saving it is as a .jpg doesn't help.
Once you are finished with your contribution, save it as a .bmp or .png image file. _________________

Decided to come back to this after like 6 months lol, here's my contribution:
It's the angry solar guy flying down. Who knows what he's gonna do??
Also, SAW, I left out your square because of the JPG compression issue. Feel free to add it in if you get that fixed. If you do fix it, I'll be glad to continue that eye-lookin thing thing you got half-done in your square, but I can't do that until the image isn't compressed. _________________
