doesnt everybody just have that one part of a song that is just awesome. theres no reason why, but they just are epic...

i know for me i have two

the intro of foreplay long time by boston. more specifically right when they go into the part with the huge cymbal crashes. its just epic...

the held note in the first solo of round and round at the end, where the sound just dies. idk why but that just gives me shivers, its so cool, creepy and just awsome

Wake Up Dead solo by Megadeth. That solo is ... I dunno... really good. Besides solos though, some good song parts are

- The part right before the second big solo in Comfortably Numb.
- The part before Stairway to Heaven solo. That strummed riff I think.
- Most of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody
- Fade to Black (its that riff where its like da da da dun dun dun duh duh duh .... lol if you know what I mean, before the solo)
- Master of Puppets part before solo

A Little Piece of Heaven.

The whole song is an epic itself. Truly one of the best composed pieces of music I have ever heard/seen.

I do love songs that have epic parts in it. It can really make a song.

The entire guitar solo of Pantera's Floods, particularly the squealing at the end.

Kurt's scream at the end of Where did you Sleep Last Night

Cornell's scream at the end of Jesus Christ Pose

The Guitar Solo of Let it Be.

John's screams in Twist and Shout.

John and Paul's Scream at the beginning of Revolution

The double Harmony shortly after the solo in "And your Bird Can Sing" (Tell me that you heard every sound their is)

Pretty much all of A Day in the Life.

"I KNOW!" in Have you Ever Seen the Rain.

The scream in Number of the Beast

Stairway to Heaven solo. Say what you want about the song as a whole being overrated, but that solo is insanely awesome.

Pretty much every Randy Rhoads solo

"YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH!" In Third Eye Blinds Jumper

these are just a few, but I really do love songs that have something incredibly amazing in them.

The outro solo in White Walls (and the piano outro) by Between the Buried and Me. Also the solo in Selkies is epic.

I wouldn't say Offspring's All I Want is a staple of the late 90's, but the whole song is fun.
YEAH, YEAH, YEAH, YEAH, YEAH!

The heavily layered, rasping "you're better off dead" in the beginning of Ayreon's "Day Twelve: Trauma", as performed by Opeth's Mikael Akerfeldt.

Also, the resolution into the chorus in Five Magics by Megadeth is incredible. I don't think it would work in many settings, but it manages it. Listen from 3:15 or so, the resolution is at 3:24.

Serious advice now: No-one likes indecision in their work, so find what you like that you're even remotely good at, and stick with it. Don't flit from one thing to another, because that just smacks of a large lack of determination and drive. And people don't like you for that, and won't remember you for it. I mean, I get that you have a plucky spirit and a willingness to try new things, but there's a limit, man.
I might knock it down to just Thursday and Friday.

This. Also the outro to The Count of Tuscany by Dream Theater is just as epic as those two. Those 3 are arguably my 3 favorite moments in any of the songs I've ever heard.

For me one of my favorites is definitely the keyboard and vocals from 5:44-6:25 in Opeth's Baying of the Hounds.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GgivuL3YNcU
After just coming out of the quiet mellow section then throwing that beast of a section at you it just seems so epic and dark.

And of course, the greatest ever. Trains by Porcupine Tree

Listen to the whole song to get the full epicness of it, but otherwise just listen from 4:35 onwards. There's no way to describe it really.

The solo in Heading Out to the Highway. Oh my god, it's only like ten seconds long, but it kicks so much ass.

The soft guitar intro of Welcome Home by Coheed and Cambria. Just leads up to an awesome song.

Lynyrd Skynyrd - Free Bird - The other 4 minutes of the song. It's a classic lol

Anthrax - Death From Above - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bm1ir337NRg - The scream in this is godly. It just keeps going!

Annihilator - 25 Seconds - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jloBpT1F4HQ
Another scream, though not a high scream like Neil in Anthrax, it's so long and harsh lol Over 10 seconds long!

Roadrunner United - Alison Hell (Live) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxIjfBd8W9U - Another Annihilator song, but ripper really lets go on this song when he lets out his scream lol

Iced Earth - Travel in Stygian (Live) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nUvNMunHtN8 Yet another epic scream.

Testament - F.E.A.R. - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zt61Hc6SToU - Chuck Billys "FEAR is only what you feel" outro is positively intense. I get chills from it ever time. Such power behind this guy.

I see a little silhouetto of a man
Scaramouch, Scaramouch, will you do the Fandango
Thunderbolt and lightning, very, very frightening me
(Galileo) Galileo (Galileo) Galileo, Galileo Figaro
Magnifico o o o
I'm just a poor boy nobody loves me
He's just a poor boy from a poor family
Spare him his life from this monstrosity

Easy come, easy go, will you let me go?
Bismillah! Noooo, we will not let you go
Let him go
Bismillah! We will not let you go
Let him go
Bismillah! We will not let you go
Let me go (Will not let you go)
Let me go (Will not let you go) (Never, never, never, never)
Let me go, o, o, o, o
No, no, no, no, no, no, no
(Oh mama mia, mama mia) Mama Mia, let me go
Beelzebub has the devil put aside for me, for me, for MEEEEEEEEE!

Basically.
