I hope they raise the 5 star cutoff. It was a bit too easy to 5 star in DJH1.
Game's looking good so far.

It's been two weeks since they teased us with this.

It's that time again folks, when DJ Hero gives out :30 clips of mixes before the game comes out.

First one we see is I Will Be Here VS. Speed Rail (both Tiesto tracks from his new album)

Seems like it :/

OR maybe they just wanted to show this...just for show...but remember at the end of the Empire Mode Vignette that they showed Where's Your Head At VS. Bonkers with no note chart?

They probably don't want to spoil the chart yet...PLUS, remember how SOME of the expert charts were changed at release? So now whatever chart we got is going to be the official chart come release day. (My theory anyways).

Found this video while browsing DJ Hero videos, this actually gives us a much closer look into the game.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=su7ax59eg6w

Let's see...from the looks of the menu, we know all about Quickplay, a little bit more about Empire Mode, Battle, Xbox Live/Playstation Network, Tutorials, and Options. We can all assume that Music Shop is where you get the DLC, but what has me at a stand-still is the "Rep" mode that is in the menu.

Well, to put it in context, a person's "rep" is their reputation, so will we finally be getting a win/loss score track of our battles and all the scores/unlocks/everything? If so, then HELL YES FSG!

To Gameplay, it seems that in Quickplay, it now shows you how far you are from your last attainable high score on the left hand side, if you pass this score, the chart will revert to it's "star" totem. THIS IS A NICE ADDITION for those of us who want to know how far off we are from getting that high score of the song.

I also caught something after the guy went to the "Return To Home" button, there will now APPARENTLY be 80+ mixes in the game rather than 70+ mixes that was stated when the game was first announced, and for Empire Mode, the description tells you all the unlockable DJ's in the game, Deadmau5, David Guetta, DJ QBERT, Tiesto, and now RZA.

That's all for now, so far this game is getting better and better, can't wait till we get our hands on the demo kits...if there will be some in the not too distant future :P

On a side note: Were getting ELECTRONIC MAU5! XD

Thanks Maxninja!
I can't wait for this game, this and GHWOR are my most anticipated games of 2010, but I am keeping my fingers crossed for DJ Hero 1 imports and a proper Hyper Deck mode.

I was going to wait for DJH2 to hit a cheap price before buying in. But Free Style Games has put so much polish into this game. It's got plenty of tunes (as always,) it has its own style (which is clean, functional, and suits the game well), it has loads of artist support, and it's just seems like this is going to be "the" DJ Hero we will love and remember for years. I just want Hyperdeck and the Venue modifiers, Practice Mode, and DJH1 imports. Then the game will be perfect.

EDIT:

Also, on the Quickplay screen, did you see those difficulty meters? A separate difficulty ranking for Overalll Complexity, Taps, Scratches, and Crossfades. That's gonna be really nice for people who suck at one thing.

I have a feeling that we will see this demo again over Xbox Live or PSN, though. Hell, I don't know why we wouldn't see this demo again, it's clearly done and finished.

And I'm back to tease you again. But I promise it's closer now than it was two weeks ago.

I'm sorry but for some reason, that sentence made me think of this gif.

That's probably a really good way to grade freestyles.

My big fear was them turning into a "spam for points" thing like RB's Big Rock Endings and World Tour-era freeforms.
