I wonder, what do you guys like about it so much? I enjoy the first 30 seconds maybe of some tracks, after that it just feels incomplete to me..

Have you heard this?

Well some dubstep sounds vastly different from others, but one thing you need to know is that withouts subs, it's just not the same. The bottom line of dubstep with a sick drop is that there are bass variations you're not likely to find in almost any other musical genre.

Alright, so I was gonna make a list of some DNB artists to check out. But really, just listen to the mixes of this DJ. The song titles are in the descriptions of the mixes (click on the title of the mix to see the descriptions) and almost every artist in those is worth a listen. Plus the mixes are absolutely amazing. Highly recommend listening to Rollaz, Rollaz Vol. 2, Round 2 and Round 3.

Perks of being a raver: Knowing when Datsik and Borgore are in town. Saw them on Saturday. Was the best show I have been to hands down. And I've been to some pretty beast shows. But the vibe in that room was so thick you could feel it. Got to hold Borgore's hand ( :3 ) for a good minute when he was standing on the crowd. Had an over all amazing time. Any of you guys seen some epic performances.

Also, bump for gloating I guess. :P

Can't be bothered to look through the rest of this thread before I suggest some stuff:

One thing I'd like to say first is that if you find yourself listening to a few good Borgore/Datsik/Excision songs, that's fine but don't hold out too much hope for them. They start to sound very similar with each subsequent release.

Doctor P (Pretty much any song, he can do no wrong IMO.)
Diesel ("Inspector" is a pretty nice intro to his sound.)
Flux Pavilion (Fell in love with "Cracks", "I Can't Stop" and "Gold Dust".)
Skrillex (Just recently found out about him. Listen to "Scary Monsters And Nice Sprites")
Downlink (My first dubstep love. Anything off the Ignition EP is gold.)
Chasing Shadows (Anything this guy does is heavy as shit. Check it)
Bare Noize (Check out his "Harry" remix. Ridiculous.)
Cookie Monsta ("Dirty Picture" remix is a very nice tune.)
Tomba (Choke On Coke EP is lovely. The title track is still one of my favorite songs ever.)

It was definitely very different from any dubstep set I had witnessed before. Along with all the expected filth, he played Lamb of God, System of a Down and Asking Alexandria. It was the first time I had seen a legit mosh pit at a rave.

I was just curious what you guys think about the fact that dubstep is becoming mainstream? hell when I got into it noone that I know knew what it was than a few months later now everyone seems to be listening to it. I think this might be one of the fastest spread genre's of music

Hate to see this thread die, so I think I'm gonna bump it with the #1 reason to buy a sub woofer.
Pendulum - Witchcraft (Rob Swire Drumstep Remix)
Dear God, this song has blown my mind.

Just thought I'd drop by here and stop this thread from dying by recommending Downlink's Emergency EP. Can't stop listening to Crippled Camel.

So I'm just starting to get into dubstep, since I've been on a pretty big kick of it for the past couple days. A friend of mine linked me to Chrispy, who I've been having a lot of fun with. He has some pretty good remixes I think (the drops in We Like to Party work mindblowingly well), so figured I'd just link him in here and check out a couple more people in this thread.

Check out J. Rabbit when you get the chance. He has some pretty intense sounds, but he's not too popular (less than 1k people like him on facebook). He did a remix of Ice Cream by Borgore that's actually better than the original... Which is crazy because that's an absolutely massive track.

Also...

Does anyone know any places you can download dubstep songs? I can't find actual download links anywhere, I just have to watch videos on YT.
