So, after several months of both dislike and disregard for dubstep, it was finally Dubba Jonny and Cyberoptix that got me into it. Can I get any suggestions for big bass drops? That's primarily what I enjoy in dubstep. _________________

Most bass drops in modern dubstep are huge. The problem is that people get 128bit quality versions, so there's absolutely no bass and the song sounds like shit. My New Years Resolution this year was to not listen to anything less than 320bit and it's been amazing. But I'm not just gonna sit here and preach about audio quality; here's some suggestions.
Feed Me Feat. Kill The Noise - Muscle Rollers
The Cataracs - Bass Down Low (Proper Villains Remix)
Magnetic Man - MAD
Excision & Downlink Feat. Messinian - Heavy Artillery
Drumsound & Bassline Smith - Freak (Dubstep Mix)
But maybe it's just your sub. Tell me, does this song sound absolutely amazing and shake your room? Cause if it doesn't, the problem isn't the dubstep, it's your subwoofer. If it does, then congratulations, you have another song with some insane bass weight.
Also, because of the lack of a house/dirty dutch/moombahton thread (and honestly, the lack of a need for one) I'll just leave this here.
OH, and listen to this song I made and give me some feedback, please. _________________

This topic has taught me a semi-important lesson: there's absolutely no bloody point listening to dubstep on a laptop. Back to the PC with decent speakers... _________________

If you guys need your daily dose of Skrillex, but you're tired of listening to Cinema and Ruffneck Bass, try these.
The Disco Rangers Bus (Knows How To Rock N Roll)
Get Up (Skrillex's Director's Cut)
Sick Bubblegum Remix
Born This Way (Died This Way Remix)
Meow Remix (Electro, but still beast.)
And, though it isn't Skrillex, it has a similar sound
Dubsidia - Ganja Monsta

Haha, thanks! Yeah, I got the filthy down, now I'm just working on strengthening my bassweight and giving my drops a real punch. Actually in the middle of making an oldschool style dubstep song. Not a lot of noise, but a fuck ton of sub bass frequencies. And I'll probably do an electrostep edit once I'm done. I'll be sure to post it. _________________

Keep us posted. I'd be right in here with you posting original songs if my roommates computer didn't crash THE DAY AFTER I GOT MY MPK. :|
Got to play around with it once. Aggravation.
Anyway, yeah, that Sick Bubblegum Remix is especially awesome. _________________

Holy oldschool dubstep, Badman.
Seriously, don't listen to it without a sub! Please! For the love of God and all that is holy, don't listen to it if it isn't going to shake your room.

Just a quick warning, you may actually need to turn your bass down. What I love doing is turning the bass up relatively high and turning the volume down. _________________
