New Qualia and DJ Axidentally track up. Hope everyone likes. I liked making it. lol

Also, warning: this song has naughty language. However I am told that if you enjoy The Boondock Saints you may enjoy the samples.

Operation Fiscal Jackhammer

Your Precious Donald Duck (POW)

Mixes

November '12

If anyone enjoys the mix enough to request an mp3, I will supply a link.

(Original post preserved because I think it's kind of lulzy.)

Ok... so I'm getting into Dubstep. I can't help it. It's so different. I love it. It's kind of simple but can also be complex from what I've heard. Regardless though, it's heavy as shit and the bass just punches you in the throat. Amazing in my opinion. I've only been listening for a day.

Can you guys recommend some artists?

I'm currently looking into:

Rusko
Bassnectar
Downlink

Help me out...?

If you want something to punch you in the throat, go for some Borgore. Also look into Doctor P, Excision, Cookie Monsta, Datsik and Flux Pavilion. And I don't know how big you are on Suicide Silence, but this remix made me smile.

Haven't heard too much Suicide Silence. Been on my to-do list for a while though. Will have to check out the original version of the song as well. I've heard some Cookie Monsta and Datsik. Thank you, sir.

If you've looked into Rusko at all you shsould have heard this. If not, it's probably one of, if not the best dubstep remixes I've heard
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-YhQ7BetDdM

Borgore is really hard hitting, so is 16 Bit. Datsik and Excision are heavy and darker feeling. One of my favourite artists is Reso. He mixes up the beats really frequently and builds the song up and up continuously instead of the typical intro->drop->boring middle->second drop->end other artists use (not that that's bad)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DnubAl3bF3A&feature=related

And finally, here's some my favourite dubstep remixes (Since I find remixes to be a lot more interesting than solo artist's original songs)
Borgore - Hoes (16 BIt Fuck Hoes Remix)
Foreign Beggars - Hit That Gash (Itchy Naan Re-Dub)
Pixies - Where Is My Mind (Bassnecar Remix)
Dan Le Sac vs. Scroobius Pip - Sick Tonight (Doctor P Remix)
Ludacris vs. Diesel - Get Back/Panic Attack (The guy who made this mashes hip-hop and dubstep songs together. He's got some insane stuff up)

Just a few recommendations...
Noisia & Foreign Beggars - No Holds Barred (Excision Remix)
Doctor P - Sick Tonight (Remix)
Doctor P - Sweet Shop
Flux Pavilion - Gold Dust (Remix)
Downlink - Ignition
Borgore - Ice Cream
Skrillex - Hey Sexy Lady
And while it's not entirely Dubstep, just has a dubstep feel from time to time, Pendulum - Set Me On Fire.

Nice to see a dubstep thread pop up, and people to show interest too.
I haven't been into it too long but I love how it's so different, and the fact that it's one of the few musical styles that is heavy without being metal.

Downlink - Gamma ray takes a while to drop, but the drop is pretty sick. Downlink is one of the groups you want to listen to if you're playing dubstep through actual subwoofers. I have two 12" kickers in a ported box and their music blasts LOUD.
Downlink - Android In this one the bass is even louder than the above song through subs. Last time I played it an acorn was bouncing around at the base of my windshield (on the outside) when the bass hit.
Substep Infrabass This band is deathstep... that is, dubstep with vague influences from deathcore.. basically it's just lower pitched and heavier and darker dubstep. This stuff won't bump quite as hard from subs (18"s maybe) but without subs it sounds a lot heavier and darker. It's not for eveyone though. Some days I love it but others I'm like "wtf is this shit?"

Of the music I listened to thus far in the thread (which is about 1/3 of what was posted) that Suicide Silence remix was especially sick.

Dr. Philth, Caspa, Commissioner, and big chocolate.

On a side note I discovered Dubstep quite a few months ago from an Emr Johnson vid that had Pro Nails in the intro, since then I've been hooked

Death/metalcore and dubstep mix really well, I've noticed. Both are relatively evil, so I guess it's only natural. Now all I need is some harsh vocals/growling on top of some dnb.

Speaking of mixing genres...
DUBSTYLE!.
Dunno how big you cats are on hardstyle, but I found it interesting.

Oh, and this.

We had a wine party last night and eventually Act Like You Know by Nero came on and my friends and I agreed that song has one of the wicked grooves to it. I mean it probably helped we had the subwoofer on very loud and almost 2 bottles of wine, but damn that song shakes a room hard.

Could this double as a dnb thread?
At least one major dnb artist has already been mentioned.

Go for it. If it's good music and even REMOTELY has anything to do with Dubstep, I'm game.

Edit 2012: This is the most retarded sounding post I think I've ever reread past the age of 18.

I am not a fan of dubstep at all :/ To me, it's just boring as hell...I'm not trying to flame, just saying I guess >_<

I wonder, what do you guys like about it so much? I enjoy the first 30 seconds maybe of some tracks, after that it just feels incomplete to me..

Excision - Calypso (Feat. Datsik)

First dub song I ever listened to, pretty much everything Excision does is amazing.

ALSO: Excision - Slayed (Raining Blood Remix)
