I'll have to check out the Calvertron track. I haven't heard anything from him that I dislike. Looking at the lineup for that show I'd say go for it. 16 Bit is exceptionally good.
This is the first 16 Bit track that I heard:

Going to do a little digging later and see if I can't find Run DMT's remix of Super Mega Deathray by Figure. That just sounds like every ingredient for an amazing remix. _________________

It's coming out on Heavy Artillery Recordings in like, 3 days. Check on ClublandLV on the 27th and they'll probably have a 320 of it for download. Or ya know, you could buy it. _________________

Hey venim (and anyone else that can help me with my request), can you give me suggestions for:
1) Tracks similar to Cracks and Raindrops/Tomba's remix, something that same Flux Pavilion-esque sound, female vocals (although not nessecary, but it does help the mood of the song), and overall mood similar to those two
2) Some good Moombahcore
3) Some solid Pop remixes, or tracks with a much more poppy/party feel to them
Thanks in advance
My contribution to the thread, all great tracks:

It's a good thing you added the Raindrops example or I would have just given you a bunch of songs with more sustained notes in the drops as opposed to wobbles, cause that's one of Flux's staple sounds. Anyway, let me see what I can dig up.
Feed Me - Strange Behavior (Feat. Tasha Baxter)
Don Diablo ft. Dragonette - Animale (Datsik Remix)
Florence + The Machine - Dog Days Are Over (Produce & Destroy Remix) (Seriously, if you can't appreciate her voice there's nothing I can do for you but this remix is amazing)
Imogen Heap - Hide & Seek (Roksonix Remix)

Surprisingly this can be answered in one simple link.
The moombahcore group on soundcloud features some of the best moombahcore produced. I do have one addition though...
Figure - Aliens Moombah Too (Crowd Control remix) (In my opinion the best moombahcore song in existence)
I'm more into moombahton to be honest. Reggaeton beats blend very well with dirty electro synths as opposed to heavy electro synths.
And I can't really help you with pop remixes or pop sounding dubstep. To me "pop dubstep" would be Skrillex (though he doesn't make dubstep! HE MAKES HEAVY ELECTRO GET IT RIGHT FOR FUCK'S SAKE)... and there's nothing I could post by him that hasn't already been heard by everyone forever at least 1,583 times. However, this is so "pop"ular that it was on TV.
Ya welcome. :P _________________

This band may have already been mentioned but I didn't read the whole thread so don't mind me...
So basically I never really knew about dubstep at all and never really knew if I would like it or anything (I actually had no idea what it even sounded like before recently). I went out to my favorite theater and saw a local trailer that used a song by "Modestep"... It's been stuck in my head pretty much constantly ever since so I had to download it: http://www.vimeo.com/26983467 (Trailer in question)
I also looked into their other song, "Feel Good"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3r26y--evIw
So, I guess if I really like this then I would like other dubstep. What can people recommend for me based on those 2 songs? My only real rule about music (at least for these purposes, driving and working out), is that it is not boring and the singing isn't bad. That's really it. I'm open to "weird" stuff, as long as it doesn't hurt my ears or put me to sleep. I'm open to instrumentals, but I'd much prefer more stuff like the above with some strong vocals sections intermixed.
Thoughts? I could see myself getting really into this if I found the right places to start. Help is much appreciated. _________________

Well Hailz, to truly understand dubstep you must first understand that it is as diverse a genre as, say, metal. It originated as a spin off of UK 2-step garage with breakbeat, drum and bass and dub influences, mostly in the UK. It has changed drastically over the past 10 years and is still evolving today. If you asked someone what dubstep was 6 years ago, they probably wouldn't know what the hell dubstep was. But if you managed to find someone who did know, they'd tell you that it was sub bass heavy music, with a slow beat and limited amounts of sounds that you could hear through your crappy laptop speakers. This is what made dubstep (back then) special. It was pretty much free of what some people might call "posers" but to be polite we'll call them "non bass enthusiasts." You pretty much needed a subwoofer to play dubstep tracks and if you didn't have one, you'd get bored so quickly it wouldn't even be funny.
This is not the case today, however. You see, in recent years a new style has evolved that still uses bass, however the bass is more mid-ranged and noisy as opposed to a pure sub sine wave. This mid-range bass is often referred to as "wobbles," "wubs," "yoys" and the not-so-endearing name (given by the English fathers of the original dubstep) "cack." Also in recent years, the tracks were much more chill and flowing. Sub bass would come and go throughout the song and it would always hit very hard and shake your house. These days, dubstep has adopted a more electro influenced song structure typically starting with an intro, leading into a build-up, then dropping massive amounts of mid-ranged bass into the track in a manner that used to surprise people but is now very expected, though still welcomed. The song then does some variation of the intro, builds again, drops again, then goes into the outro. Very cookie-cutter, very electro influenced and very noisy.
So, as with any growing genre, subgenres started appearing seemingly out of nowhere and the only real difference between them was the noises they used in between the drops and maybe a few differences in use of filters. Robostep, pornstep, thirdwave-permadrop-ultrawobble-brocore (that's a joke) and other random adjectives with the word "step" thrown on the end. However, people with common sense will just call them all dubstep and proceed to give few fucks.
But enough of me giving histories and definitions, here's some songs you should look into.
We'll start with the original sound of dubstep, because it's where it all started and by having heard some of it, you're already ahead of most of the people who listen to dubstep.
(You may just want to skip over these if you don't have a subwoofer or a pair of headphones that can handle frequencies in the 40-60 range. Like I said, it can get boring.)
Loefah - Mud VIP
Skream - Midnight Request Line
Kryptic Minds - Make You Sleep
V.I.V.E.K - Pulse
And now, a bit of what I like to call the "transitional" dubstep sound. Somewhere between pure sub bass and "OH MY GOD IT'S SO FILTHY!"
Rusko - Cockney Thug (Caspa Remix)
Caspa - Wheres my money
Cookie Monsta - Fat Girl Rodeo
Kryptic Minds - Badman VIP
Now, this is where it gets crazy.
Borgore - Guided Relaxation Dub
Doctor P - Sweet Shop
Excision - Warning
Datsik - Firepower
Bassnectar - Bass Head (SPL Remix)
Freestylers - Cracks (Flux Pavilion Remix)
Ajapai - Incoming VIP
Asking Alexandria - Another Bottle Down (Tomba Remix)
Nostalgia - The Hero
Dubba Jonny - Home VIP
Plan B - Love Goes Down (Doctor P remix)
Figure - Super Mega Death Ray (Run DMT Remix)
Example - Won't Go Quietly (Fytch Remix)
Hope you liked some of these.
Or else all of this was wasted... xD
Also, you may have noticed the "VIP" at the end of some of these songs. If you're new to electronic music and wondering what that means, it isn't "Very Important Person," it's "Variation in Production." So basically, the producer looked back at the song and thought, "Hmmmm, I can make this a lot better." Just thought I'd clear that up. _________________

Thanks for the lengthy reply. I will keep in mind what you said about subwoofers and headphones for the bass in case I think it is boring. Naturally the first dubstep I heard in the theater sounded awesome with theater audio... but I don't think I will run out and buy headphones just yet. I'm hoping I will at least be able to listen to more and decide if I like it before investing in stuff like that. It's also good for me to understand it's diversity... that's why my linking of the 2 songs I liked was important, as people who know more than me can link me to stuff that sounds similar to that and I can start in whatever realm of dubstep feels familiar and good and then slowly branch out. (Diversity is a beautiful thing, but it's also important to understand how people can like one side of a genre and completely hate the other...)
Mini-rant, not directed at you, but relevant:
See, I'm always annoyed when I try to explore a new genre, and somebody says "you must do [blank] to really appreciate it, or you're a poser/not a real fan/etc!" I mean, that's what was so frustrating about metal for me, I simply did not like certain harsh vocals (though I could definitely appreciate some), but people were trying to convince me that if I worked up to it, or listened to it more, I would like it ("you started out with kiddie bands, you need to transition more before you can appreciate Rotting-Death-Corpse-Puncher *or equally ridiculous metal band name*!"). Whereas dubstep seems promising, because the first thing I heard I loved... hopefully there will be no "transitioning" involved, or snobs telling me what I should or shouldn't like in order to be a real fan. O please internet, don't take this first love away from me and make it some sort of elitist thing where I can't just sit back and enjoy the music. Where I have to be a certain type of person under certain conditions in order to "appreciate" it.
I will definitely check out your links after work. _________________

Been listening to it for a few years now. Some parties in local venues, stuff like that. I found it quite hard to get into because I was pretty big into drum n bass at the time. Now it's my preferred choice of music when going to parties and stuff. _________________

There will always be holier-than-thou assholes, no matter what genre you're listening to. Just remember that opinions are completely subjective and that anyone who tells you otherwise can kindly fuck off. I didn't mean to make it seem like if you don't listen to the original dubstep you're not a true fan. Most of the people who listen to dubstep don't even know that the original sound exists. I just felt that if you're going to be listening to a genre, you might as well get as diverse an intro as possible to see what appeals to you. And just so you know, the type that sounds most like Feel Good (in my opinion) is more toward the bottom of the links I posted. Didn't mean to do that, just kinda did.
Also, as a quick, fun side note...
