because I make music

either post-rock stuff or metal stuff.

I'm uploading everything I have so far (17 songs) to youtube, remastering most of them too.

Critique would be appreciated, though please keep in mind that I'm using GP6's RSE for all these since I don't have any good recording equipment (and I can't play most of the metal stuff anyways <.<)

BOLDED THE GOOD STUFFS

Just uploading in order of first to last here, so the earlier ones are kinda meeeh sounding.
Driftwood (post-rock)
Black Clouds on the Horizon (post-rock)
Illuminate (acoustic)
Astral (mathcore-ish)
A Song For The Sun (post-rock)
Dystopia (post-rock)
Requiem For The Living (post-rock/classical)
World Stained White (post-rock/post-metal)
Ethereality (post-rock)
Awaken, Ascend (progressive metal)
Reminiscence Of A Future Long Since Forgotten (post-rock)
The Roads Best Left Unwalked (progressive metal)
Absolute Zero (post-rock)
Pandemic Idyllic (mathcore)
Ashes in the Wind (classical)
Mirth and Madness (progressive metal/mathcore)
Malleable Machinery (progressive metal/mathcore)
Visionary (progressive metal)
Antietam (progressive metal)
The Framework (progressive metal)
Blue Sky Blitzkrieg (progressive rock)

Wow. Nice stuff, Parama! Well, so far I've only listened to Astral, but that was... insane. I love the crazy time signatures, and the keyboard lines by and large epic. One thing I would say is sometimes sections are repeated a bit too much, maybe cut a repeat here and there and have it come back later in the song. But that was great, nice work!

Another thing... midi files are very hard to listen to, even finished ones like this. Maybe try and lay some guitars down if you can, it'll transform it

guitar pro is so much more intuitive than most synth programs (like FL Studio) for programming synths imo. I just wish it had some higher quality ones outside of RSE.
I have GP5 but never bought GP6 because they took out my favorite features, such as being able to retune instruments (unless I'm mistaken.)

But yes, Astral is amazing, and so is Illuminate. I haven't listened to the other two. I didn't find Astral too repetitive at all, actually... everything flowed pretty nicely. So, do you actually play guitar (and/or other instruments)?

Jleggy: not midi
Vamp: You can retune guitars in GP6 I thought .-. I write in GP5 anyways though. And yes I play guitar but I wouldn't be able to play most of my metal stuff :/

Anyways!
A Song For The Sun - Post-rock
Dystopia - Post-rock
Requiem For The Living - Post-rock/Classical

Double-post for bumping purposes + new song.
World Stained White - Post-Rock/Post-Metal - 14+ minutes

In other news, apparently there was a copyright claim on A Song For The Sun even though it's 100% my original music <.<
EDIT: also
Ethereality - Post-Rock

Awaken, Ascend - the song formerly known as Awakening (one of my GHTunes songs) and also it's progressive metal.

Reminiscence Of A Future Long Since Forgotten - Pretentious and Post-rock

I like this song, but it really is quite pretentious xD

The Roads Best Left Unwalked - Progressive Metal

very standard progressive metal song, but I love it so.

Not triple posting. if you miss this one oh well you should've subscribed to my youtube account by now if you cared.

Absolute Zero - post-rock

also all acoustic kinda

Pandemic Idyllic - Mathcore
Ashes in the Wind - Classical (tons of strings)
Mirth and Madness - Progressive Metal/Mathcore

that's all I have done now I think.

I spy with my little eye a metal song
Malleable Machinery

first time writing in harmonic minor, like the results.

Visionary - it's a Tool-inspired prog metal song and you'll love it hopefully.

Oh wow I should update this with the two songs I've done since my last post <.<

Antietam
The Framework

Both of them are progressive metal in the vein of Dream Theater or something like that.
I like the first one more.

Also I've been failing to write any sort of decent post-rock recently :<
