Honestly, I can understand why you think this and I do agree with it. Granted, I don't play on easy, but I do know that it's a LOT harder to get 5 million on easy than it is on expert.

5 mil on easy bass is not even the total for BH. not bad but still 55 or so songs.

Yeah, I've actually been busting through the tail end of WoR Easy Bass.

B.nAUght, not taking anything away from your 7 million!...I was just having some fun. I'll eventually hit Expert and Hard after I run out of Easy songs to FC (already got the Medium FSFC)

Bass leaderboards are up to date, enjoy. Things were pretty quiet this week on every board except for Easy. I guess this is the first round of exams and whatnot for college, so you guys are playing a bit less bass at the moment. On the Easy boards, Bloodyfisthole had a million point gain, and InsolentWill finished up his FSFC, and got a 1st place to boot. InsolentWill gets the obvious callout, and is a remarkable 250k away from the community total. Very nice work, would likely have been the callout even if it was not a quiet week. That was pretty much it for the week.

On a personal note, I was pretty lazy this week in getting the boards up to date, no real excuse. Been playing a bit more Diablo 3, playing a new spec in preparation for the 1.05 patch. Blitz is still fun, but in order to not burn out on it, I play it primarily when my friends are over, it is a great party game. That is about it, going to close the pool after this weekend and my Octoberfest party. Have a good week all.

Leaderboards are up to date, for today, 10/09. Very quiet week, with the only movement coming on Easy Bass. We had a nice little jump by BloodyFistHole, who is now in 4th place, and fast closing in on a FSFC. The big news of the week goes out to InsolentWill, with not only a FSFC, but 1st place overall to boot! He is a mere 250k from the community total, so it remains to be seen if he is done, or wants to try on Easy what DrSham is doing to Medium. A FSFC does not happen every day, so big congrats to InsolentWill. Likely, next week, will have another member to the small fraternity of FSFC in BFH, will it be a new 1st or just top 3? We shall see.

As for me, Octoberfest was fun, but it got too cold for pool stuff. Ah well. Looks like I need to close the pool, as we had our first frost on Sunday night, its mother nature's way of telling me to get it closed. Likely that should go pretty smoothly, I will give you all a grand tale if it doesn't. On Sunday, I get to auto cross again, which should be a blast, I had a great time last time in June. I am not great at it by any means, but as last time was my first attempt at it, and as I improved all of my 6 runs, I think I was getting the hang of it. Hopefully, I can improve where I left off last time. It is as safe as it can be, just a closed parking lot with cones for the course, although last month they finally had their first accident, when a guy crashed into a guard rail. Just you against the clock, so minimal potential pit falls, just lots of fun, and a great group of people to boot. Have a great week all.

Boards are up to date for the week, enjoy. Medium was the only quiet one, with no movement, not even from the great DrSham. Easy saw a nice increase by dramacomic of some 7 million or so points, nice jump there, he has to be close to the FSFC now. Hard saw increases by 000KIRSTOF000 and InsolentWill, but nothing large by either one , I guess InsolentWill got busier this week than he had expected. Expert saw fred-kermesss with a very impressive 1.5 million point gain and a 4 spot jump, great work by him. I will give the nod of the week to drama, if only because he amazes all of us still by still finding songs to FC even after 15,000 FCs, truly amazing. That was a pretty typical week for bass, and much better than the last one, hopefully we see more of these in the future.

On a personal note, the pool is closed, I finished out the process on Saturday. However, the nice new tarp that I ordered through the pool company that I trust, is OVAL, and not rectangular. I tried vainly to get it to stay in the right place, but I will have to take it back. For now, I have the tarps that I used last year, hopefully, I will be able to swap in the new tarp soon. Autocross was great, I achieved my goal of 64 seconds on the course (they shoot for a course time of 60 seconds for the veteran drivers) and I have not yet received the results to see how I compared to the rest of those racing, but hopefully, I am not in the bottom 10. There was rain during my heat, which negatively effected the course, but I had an advantage what with an AWD car and all weather tires. It was great fun, too bad I forgot to bring my camera for you guys. As far as cars there, there was the usual assortment of Subarus, Mitsubishis, Fords and Pontiacs. However, we were treated to a Ferarri 355, two F1 go-kart cars from the Univeristy of Rolla, a very swanky Corvette 411 (cannot remember the number but it was a rear engine beast), several BMWs, a Porshe 911, and a couple Triumphs. Quite a bit of fun.

Leaderboards are up to date, for today, 10/24, enjoy. Boards were very quiet this week, with no changes to Easy, Medium or Hard. On Expert, it was all about greenbaymackey, who had about a million point gain in points. Congrats to greenbaymackey for making the update worthwhile!

Things have been quiet for me as of late. That really bad flu, that had residual effects turned into a sinus infection. I have had that a week now, and got antibiotics for it Monday, so hopefully the damn thing clears up soon. I have barely slept this week, as I wake up coughing about every 20 to 30 minutes, not fun. Diablo's patch was nice, but it has truly lost my interest, hard to find fun in grinding the same stuff over and over. I will likely start playing more PS3 stuff, I have a bit of a backlog there anyway. Lately though, my big vice has been Chrono Trigger on the DS. Every few years I replay that game, and every time it gets better, hard to believe. Have a good week all.

I can kinda understand how you feel. I had a pretty stuffed up nose and a sore throat starting on Sunday, and that sucked hard. Hope you feel better, though!

Anyways, expect something big coming down the line as I gear up for 5000 FCs!

For those that care about how I did in the autocross event, I placed 32/48 people with the multiplier factored in. The multiplier takes into account your base car, and any modifications that you have done to it. 888 indicates the car didn't start that heat, ### indicates a disqualified run, and several cars were run by multiple people, hence the odd discrepancies. Fun things to note are the makes/years of the cars, FSAE was the F1/go-kart cars that the University of Rolla guys brought up with them. Enjoy!

Boards are up to date, for today, 11/08, enjoy. No, bushi did not fall off the face of the earth, work has been, very hectic as of late, will discuss later. On the Expert boards, we had a million point gain by greenbaymackey, a million point jump by B.Naught47, a 5 million overall gain from fredkermess and a few minor gains from others. Over on Hard, it was a million point jump from Chrisss, nice work there. Medium was quiet with no movement that I noticed, I guess DrSham gave up on his plans for world domination. Easy, had a couple of million points from dramacomic, otherwise pretty quiet. Overall, even for a two week gap, things were very quiet. I have to give the nod of the week out to B.Naught47 for some totally crazy scores he has been entering, very nice stuff. Hopefully, the next update should be soon.

So, on a personal note, work has gone from really easy, to pretty hectic. The ultimate plan now is for the grade school techs to move from being stationed in a single building, to being housed in one of two central locations, being dispatched out, and being in charge of two buildings. Luckily for me, I keep my existing building and only pick up one new one. Unluckily for me, there is a huge backlog of stuff that needs to be done at the 2nd building, which has kept me extremely busy these past two weeks. After today, I think I finally have things at a working level, even if the list only seems to grow for the various minutiae. It certainly makes the days go by faster, but damn if I am not tired at the end of the day. Speaking of tired, I finally got healthy, and we spent the weekend doing a lot of resting as my wife was getting over her bug that she had. Also, now that I am finally not sick, I will be exercising more, I will update about that if things go according to plan. Have a good week all.

Not quite, just having a hiatus whilst I pick up on GH3 E/G. Almost done with that now so should be back to M/B soon enough

Hey look, the boards are up to date again. Over on Expert, it was n00bpwn3r with a decent 2 million point jump, and fred-kermess with a healthy 4 million point gain. On Hard, it was Chrisss with a small gain, void with 11 million or so in points, and InsolentWill with a healthy 2 million point jump. On Medium, void celebrated getting GH:VH with a FGFC and a 6 million point jump. Over on Easy, DrSham put in quite a few nice scores for a million point gain, and void had about 4.5 million, likely from VH. For a very rare sweep, void gets the nod on both bass and guitar, it is one thing to get a new game and play it some, it is another to get SIX FGFCs in a single update (even if the update was almost 3 weeks long). Great work to void, and all the rest of you who have been busy while I was away.

As for me, I have been very busy with work, and working two buildings with 2.5 times the work has kept me busy and time files. The great news is that things are finally dying down at work, as I have addressed all the old problems, all the outstanding issues, numerous rounds of updates, individual trainings, and misc tasks the individual teachers each had for me. There are 5 pods to the building, and I have finished with 4 of them, leaving the smallest to last. The other building, my old one, has been pretty simple to take care of, and so I have managed to stay caught up there. All in all, work has been quite taxing, and that combined with me finally getting healthy and trying to work out when I can has occupied a lot of my time. This week was a short work week, but a busier week otherwise, what with visiting with family for the Thanksgiving holiday. For those of you in the US that celebrate it, Happy Thanksgiving, for those that had to work Black Friday, my condolences. Things should be quieter now, so hopefully, I will be back to my usual update schedule soon. Have a great week all.

Mr. Green

What can I say?

Also, I hope things really get down to a more settled pace at your work.

Leaderboards are up to date, for today, 12/04. A few minor changes, and then a confusing cluster of color over on Expert. On Easy, InsolentWill extended his dominance, getting within 1.5 million of Spoon for 1st on the Overall board as well, quite a week there. Medium saw Chrisss have a great week, with 4 million in gain, very nice work. On Hard, it was Chrisss again, with about 2 million this time, pretty quiet otherwise. Over on Expert, your guess is as good as mine. Either there was really suddenly that much interest in Expert Bass from lots of players, or the update borked something odd. Considering how flaky ScoreHero was behaving yesterday, I am leaning towards more of the latter. That being said, it looks like we gained a few new members on the boards, we will wait until next week and the dust settling to see if things resemble normal. In case I am just flat out wrong and that many players really did all jump on the board at once, a huge congrats for the most movement I have yet seen. Also, the huge gap between Best Individual and Community Total seems way off, hopefully, the next update will run fine. Great week all around for Bass, the nod has to go to Chriss, for great movement on two boards.

As for me, only a few things of note. I think I am finally all better, no more residual sinus infections, almost no nose blowing, very little coughing. It has been a LONG time since the beginning of October when I was last able to say that. Work, I have finally gotten caught up at, and now will have a steady trickle of work day to day, the big stuff having all but been eliminated. Sadly, my PS3 the old fatty, died, or is as close to death as you can get. I get the dreaded blinking red light for the power switch, and there is little hope. My friend, who is a tinkerer and likes to play with electronics and do what he can, will attempt to revive it long enough for a data transfer, and thus preserve my game saves. I am not holding my breath on that, but it would be great if the old unit lived long enough for that. I bought a new PS3 Super Slim, which has negative reviews due to the case and drive compared to the Slim, but it was $260 with a controller, a 250 gig HD, a trial period of Playstation Plus, and Uncharted 3. Not a bad deal, even if I am going to just swap out the drive with my 500 GB hybrid SSD from the old unit. The Playstation Plus trial might allow us to just upload the game save data to the cloud, if the unit cannot stay on long enough for a full data transfer. If it just doesn't work, well I already had a dead PS3, this changes nothing. Wish me luck on the data transfer!

As far as downloads, etc, you can very easily redownload all the stuff from the PSN, it just takes time and bandwidth. Losing the scores would be a bummer, but the only thing that I would really miss would be a near platinum trophy (including 960+ cars) from GT5. While the other data would be missed, that is what would be the hardest to replace. Sony, in their concept of a DRM, locks your HD to your PS3, so you cannot just simply swap it into a new unit, back it up and restore it to another unit, or replace the board and keep your data. You can send the PS3 into Sony to have them fix whatever is wrong with it for $100, but it comes with the two caveats of a) wiping your drive, b) no guarentee that you get your original unit back. This means that even if you did a backup of your drive before it fails, if you sent it to Sony, you could potentially get back a different unit and have unusable data from the backup. For those reasons, and the fact that the unit was a refurb and 6 years old, I am going with a new unit altogether, and waving goodbye to my old friend, the fully backwards compatible fatty. Ah well.
