I'm reopening this thread with a story. Back before Scorehero's new servers, it would sometimes take quite a while for threads to update, especially on Mondays, and ESPECIALLY original posts with a lot of content, such as one housing a list of songs for use in FC breakdowns. In order to make things bearable, I deleted most of the content for some breakdowns, including this one. I kept the hardest 30 or so songs, because at the time, we were only voting for the hardest 50 DLC songs, and I didn't think we needed more than this.
Fast forward to present day. We've picked WT DLC 7 out of the last 8 songs, and about 27 out of 90 on the current DLC breakdown. We've only got 2 songs left to use, so I figure we need more DLC songs. The problem is that SpoonMan (who was originally running these breakdowns) adopted a group and merge system (which was perfectly right at the time), so there's no real way to see what was deemed easier than Cyanide. I've looked through the thread, and found that 53 songs were deemed easier than Cyanide, but harder than another pivot song, Well Thought Out Twinkles. I'd like to use these 53 songs to add to the WT DLC breakdown list and ensure that the DLC breakdown can safely continue to 100 spots.
The easiest (and quickest) way to do this, I think, is open ballot. The songs are below, and for those of you still familiar with these songs, please pick the hardest ones. We'll aim for 15, but 10 would be a good minimum. Then we'll vote on these. I remember a few of them being challenging (Black Betty, Dez Moines, Fire, the two S&Rs, The Unforgiven III, and I know Jimi is oddly annoying to FC), but that's it.
I'm really sorry that this has happened, and I wish I could think of a better way to sort these, but I know speed is becoming an increasingly important factor as well; I think everyone's starting to get tired of these threads, myself included. If you'd like, we can actually properly break down these 53 songs, but I'd like to see how this works. Thank you for your understanding, and happy voting.
P.S. I already tried Wayback Machine, with no success; they've only got 1 archived version of this page, from May 2015.

actually if you could dig up that list and PM it to me i might use it to at least decide on pivot songs going forward. i picked this one because it's towards the middle alphabetically but i'd like to pick ones that are more geared towards breaking the list evenly.

1979 - Hmm... due to the fact it's the same riff throughout i'm gonna go with easier. Tough call though.
21st Century Digital Boy - harder
54, '74, '90, 2010 - much easier, and probably the worst song i've seen in guitar hero.
Adrenalina - seem very similar, guess i'll go with marginally harder.
Ain't Got Nothin' - harder
All Nightmare Long - much harder
All The World Is Mad - harder
Angel - harder
Another Way To Die - easier
Anything - much harder

ITS is kinda a hard song to rate, I can't honestly tell if those chord changes are hard just by watching a video, the strumming looks pretty simple too but it's still alt strumming and a lot of these DLC songs are much easier
1979 is easier, pretty simple and boring
21st Century actually has a solo, that while not hard is probably harder than ITS along with some funky chord changes at the end. I go harder here.
'54 '2010' whatever is easier
Adrenalina is pretty fast-paced, I gotta go harder here
Ain't Got Nothing is harder if only for that little bit in the solo
ANL is obviously harder
All the World is Mad looks clearly harder
Angel I guess is harder?
Another Way to Die is one of the easiest DLC songs, so easier
Anything is one of the hardest DLC songs, so harder lol

I was lucky enough to be able to play a lot of this DLC during import testing, even though I don't own a lot of it. Spoonman, if you're looking for recommendations for "middle of the road" pivot songs, I humbly suggest any of the Silversun Pickups songs, maybe Well Thought Out Twinkles? Just an idea...
As for comparing to In the Shadows, I tend to agree with what's been said so far:

awesome, all of these are decided now. going to the next group of 10. also changed that 1979 video. thanks bulblax. if anyone else notices a dead video let me know if you can find a replacement. when i collected the videos initially every one of them worked.
@drama, speaking of that band, they have to be the #1 "grows on you after a few listens" band ever. i couldnt stand them when the pack first came out in RB. now i have a bunch of their stuff on my ipod because its awesome.
