Honestly, I've never been that huge of a fan of GWAR, but I listened to a couple albums and from what I recall they were great. They are definitely a unique band though, especially based on their live performances. RIP.

Gwar is either one of those bands you love or hate. They have great guitar work, but it's just crazy shit lyrically, but it's all in fun and not meant to be taken seriously. I was really bummed to hear this cause the guy is a pretty solid guitarist and it was far too early to go. As a rocker on tour, there's a chance we know what could've been the cause of it, but either way, just terrible.

Gwar will be continuing the tour, but they did say they will be retiring Cory Smoots character "Flattus Maximus". He wasn't the first of the character, but the longest running and they felt he made such an impact as him, that it would be best to send him back to "Planet Home".
