I just found this amusing and thought I would share it with those that didn't see it

That's a common code thing, where it can't find the correct date and time so it reverts to a standard set date. I forget the name, but that date is in no way unusual.

It's called "Epoch" time. Many computers use 1/1/1970 as the starting point for their clocks, and start counting from there, with zero = midnight UTC on 1/1/1970.

So why is the day in 31 December 1969? That would be because the server is based in a time zone that is behind UTC, in this case -6 hours I think.

Not that this should stop anyone from photoshopping pictures of rhythm games being played on oscilloscopes, exchanging banter in "all these British Invasion tracks are cool and all, but why don't we get any Big Band Era DLC?" threads, or anything else along those lines.
