|
|
Based on a thread on the No Homers Club forum, I have made a game based on what are commonly referred to as the original 211 songs in the game (all non-exclusive/secret/DLC songs from the console games from GH1-GH3). I've made a few tweaks to the format just to be on the safe side. This is kind of a test run to see if we can do a full on-disc series game.
Rules:
You must vote for your exactly five least favorite songs that have not been eliminated.
You may only vote once a round
At the end of a round, every song with at least four votes, or three if there is a small number of songs with four or more votes, will be eliminated.
Minor banter is allowed, but no derailing the thread.
Here goes nothing, I guess.
Round 1

#1 - Yes We Can
#2 - Farewell Myth
#3 - Paint It Black
#4 - Red Lottery
#5 - In Love
It was tough to choose #5, as there are so many shit songs it's unbelievable. _________________

For the record, I would suggest you take both songs and charts into consideration. _________________

Yeah, I kinda was a little, hence why #5 was hard because I was gonna pick Mauvais Garcon instead. _________________

Yes We Can
Red Lottery
Farewell Myth
Sail Your Ship By (just for how forgettable it was)
Kool Thing (not enjoyable to play and still not pleasant to listen to)
Mauvais Garcon was one of my favorites, haha, not quite time for it to go! |

Thanks. I was speaking generally ("you" as in "you all"), though. It is fun to see what others will pick. _________________

Sabotage (Good song, boring chart)
Mauvais Garcon
She Bangs the Drums (original is 1000000x better)
Farewell Myth (more for the chart)
TTFAF (overplayed song) _________________

Yes We Can is funny and at least decently fun to play
Red Lottery is boring, awful to listen to, and just hard enough to be somewhat annoying to FC
In Love for the exact same reasons
Farewell Myth is definitely getting a vote too
Before I Forget, because the chart still gives me nightmares and the song is pretty bad
Drink Up for being possibly the actual worst song ever in GH... oh wait it doesn't count since it's 360 right?
alright then Bulls on Parade for #5... it was the first song I ever 5*d though I think _________________

1. FTK
Obnoxious-sounding and annoying to play.
2. The Trooper
Horrible cover, and once again annoying to play.
3. Beast and the Harlot
Absolutely ghastly solo charting, and a pretty meh cover as well.
4. Caught in a Mosh
*points to The Trooper*
5. Laid to Rest
Fun-ish to play but those vocals are utterly wretched.
Too bad this is just covering the O211, cuz the full band GHs have a few good contenders for this list here and there. *coughCherryBomb*
Also I actually like Farewell Myth and Yes We Can, somewhat :P _________________

1. Take It Off
2. When You Were Young
3. We Got The Beat
4. Cherry Pie
5. FTK
Ugh
Farewell Myth unironically owns, for the record
Also a shoutout to Drink Up, which as Bulblax pointed out is ineligible, but totally deserves recognition for outstanding shittiness. _________________

1. Red Lottery. By far the worst song in GH history and the chart is super boring.
2. Yes We Can. Definitely overrated, but still not fun to listen to.
3. Kool Thing. Pretty annoying chart and the song isn't great.
4. X-Stream. Don't remember this one much besides it being a snoozefest and not easy listening.
5. Balls to the Wall. I remember this one being painstakingly long and boring.
Definitely tough to pick a bottom five, it'd be easier to divide all the songs into two camps (better half and worse half :p ) _________________

FTK
Red Lottery
Laughtrack
Elephant Bones
Radium Eyes
Notice I put in only bonus songs. There were a lot of bad bonus songs in O211. _________________
