I've been bored lately, so I thought I'd go back through the game once more and just play each song once to see how I stack up without the intense practice of playing songs for score. After a few days I'm finally done now and my alternate SH account dspoonrt2 (aptly named) ranks in 41st place on Expert. I even managed to get 5 or so scores that were higher than my previous ones which is encouragement enough to go back and play those songs.

I figure this is about how well I would play songs in a tournament, so it's helpful to see how I'd measure up. Not that I'm encouraging people to clog up the standings with more than one user name, but it was fun for me. I'll delete my scores in a day or sooner if anyone wants me to.

Here's a link to the score page if anyone cares to conveniently gain access to it:

Hey, why not make 20 names and make sure that I never get top 30?

Just kidding.

Haha. Like I said, though, I'll delete those scores soon and then you'll move up a space. That will be encouraging, won't it?

Actually, I AM a little jealous that in one run on each song you did better than my total score on my many runs on each song.

I am happy with my scores on most of those runs. Very happy with the CFH and TBW scores. I've played all the songs enough (probably hundreds and hundreds of times each), though, that there shouldn't be an obscene margin for error.

Speaking of alternate accounts, you should use that account and try to beat the lowest score on the site. It's a really nice break from all the pressures of doing good on songs.

Besides, it's on Easy. It's not like it's gonna mess with the ranking that matters or anything.

Eh, stuff like that frustrates me. I can never figure out the best star path or anything like that. I figure they're similar. I'd rather just play the song and hit as many notes as I can.

There are a few scores you posted that I can't come close to touching... At least it gives me an idea of what songs I really need to improve on.

oh this is borderline depressing.....

Your 1 time playthough beats 15 of my all-time high scores. However, like Huwonk says, it does confirm some songs where I already knew I was weak.

As far as star paths and such..how did you do this? You just know all the star paths from memory and you went for it? There are so many songs, that I don't have them all memorized....so I would have had to cheat and look at my 'notes' prior to trying a one time run.

Yeah, I was surprised that I beat about 5 of my all-time high scores doing this as well. I guess it helps not to sit and stress about a song sometimes.

And about the star paths, this is probably sad but I have them all memorized. At least the star paths I use and believe to be the best for me. I only look at a note chart when I FC a song and don't even get into the top 10 (i.e. Sail Your Ship By, I guess I need to work on that).
