|
|
So, I'm officially coining this term (if you've said it before, great, but this needs to be added, like the BNoF)
"AIR GUITAR HERO"
I find myself, rather than air-guitaring songs, I air guitar hero songs.
Just finished work in OKC, and had Iron Maiden's Greatest hits in the old rental car - played track 4, "The Trooper", and found myself to air guitar hero the buttons.
Now, I know i have done this plenty of times before, but some of the NCAA guys in the back seat laughed there ass off, loving the term air guitar hero.
I am a drummer, and normally play the drum parts to every song on here on my steering wheel, but find myself now, "air guitar hero'ing"
This outta be an official term by now.
Being w/o my GH for these 16 days while i am gone is killing me! _________________

I do only of the songs I can't get a hold of (360, customs) and a GH controller is not in site. _________________

During Senior economics classes near the end of HS (about a month ago) I would often distract myself from supply curves etc. by fretting out the main riff / pre-solo bridge parts to Jordan repeatedly on my desk and see how long I could go until someone looked to see wtf I was doing... I hit that desk pretty loud and the pitch changed in certain different spots so it was actually pretty recognizable _________________

Jordan, Gtr Solo B/C/F
...like every ten minutes...
...seriously, walking to class, sitting in class, waiting for internet pages to load, driving (actually that's when I do it on the steering wheel, but yeah), in church... |

That's quite funny.
I totally would have expected you to do that, and the fact that you actually do just brightened up the next ten minutes of my life.
I do this also.
And I downloaded the large versions of the 80's edition songs, I maximized them on my screen, got my SG and started playing along as if I was actually playing. To be honest, it's not that hard to trick yourself into feeling like you are playing.
I remember I did this on the bottom of my desk for about a month, with youtube videos, before I was able to buy my PS2 to play Guitar Hero. _________________

Ha ha. Me and my buddy do this all time in school (especially in lunch). My other friend sings for us, and the rest of us make "guitar" noises. One day I'll record it (we're such nerds). |

I do it too :P... it's hard to do some of the tricky buttonwork though for me lol... the best songs to air guitar hero are definitely Jordan, Free Bird, and Misirlou XD... ah when I start tapping Jordan, people start being afraid... I sit in band class and do that on my flute every time I'm not playing :P _________________
