I'm new to the whole "rivalry" thing, but I do like the idea
If anybody is interested let me know - obviously I'd prefer somebody who is around my skill level (currently, 46th overall with a score of 11,061,169)
I will only be able to start on Monday, as I will not be at home over the weekend!

Sounds good - I will post back here on Monday morning and we can sort out song choices, etc.
What rules do you generally play with? |

Here's some rules I'd like to follow...if you disagree with them let me know
-- Two-person rivalry only. When other people join it just gets messy.
-- No set time to turn in scores because hey, shit happens. But please be reasonable.
-- If you have a camera readily available, put a pic of the score up, but it's not necessary.
-- We'll alternate on picking songs. You can go first. (If you want a quick win you can look at my scores and see the obvious one to pick!!)
-- If you don't have a pic, please post the score, note streak and % notes hit. _________________

Well - back after my weekend in Indianapolis...
Doing a comparison between the two of us, I've decided it's just too crazy to challenge you at "Cowboys" (although, you really do need to get your score up for that song - there's easily another 150K in there for you)
How about a song which we could both use some improvement on?
I was thinking of "The Breaking Wheel" for starters?
I will post my score (and hopefully a picture if i remember to take my camera home from work) by about 12:00 tonight!
Good luck!

OK - a little late - been fighting with my camera (didn't win )
Anyhow, I think you'll probably beat me on this one, but I got a personal best (and I suck at this song anyhow) :
The Breaking Wheel
342390
271 note streak

Still - we both increased our score by quite a bit, so it was worth it (now I never want to play that $#%!@ing song again )
Good call on the "Crossroads" - once again, I'll try and have a score posted by 12:00AM |

Score 271807
Percent 98
Streak 452
I'm pretty happy with that, although I do think with a little luck I could hit 280K - I always end up screwing up either the first or the second solo though |

nice job, that's a damn good score. Mine was pretty good too, I think I probably could have beat yours but i didn't want to spend hours attempting it. I improved at least, and that's what the rivalry is really for, right? Your pick next.
Edit: Exact same streak! I bet we screwed up in the same place too, lol

Yup - I wouldn't doubt that we screwed up in exactly the same spot. I sat on 264K for ages - in fact, that 271K was a lucky run I had JUST before I submitted the score, so I reckon if you give it a few more runs, you'll probably have the same experience
OK - next song is Bark At The Moon (we both have LOW scores for this one, and need mucho improvement ) |

I am starting to get the hang of this song - before, I'd be lucky to get 230, now I think I'm averaging 300
Score: 340418
Percent: 95
Streak 342 |

um...wow. I didn't even start to play this song yet because i left the game at my friend's house, but there's absolutely no way Im beating that score. You've gotten a hell of a lot better than me in just the week since this rivalry started (jumping from 11k to 11.5k in just a week...jesus). I feel like I'm completely out of your league now. Maybe someone else can take over this rivalry for me... _________________

I'm as surprised as you are about that BatM score . I SUCKED so hard at that song, but all of a sudden the correct strumming pattern just clicked...
Anyhow, I'm moving to another city next week, so it's probably best that we discontinue this, at least for a while - I don't know when i will get the chance to play again, as I'll be busy painting and fixing crap for a while, but perhaps we shall continue this in the future...
Thanks though - it has been fun!!! |
