For those of you waiting on the PS3, you're getting the shaft once again.

http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/060922/japan_sony_playstation.html?.v=2

The low end console is selling for $400 and it comes with HDMI support. The catch: Japan only. Looks like Sony wants to flush Microsoft out of Japan for good.

Oh yeah, Genesis and TG-16 games will be available for the console as well. I really wish Sony would come up with a new idea, instead of stealing from Nintendo, clear back in the PSX days when the N64 got Analog, magically, so did the PSX. Same with rumble, the ps3/wii controller, and now this.

Think up your own freaking ideas, Sony. How much more blatant can these rip-offs get?

in other depressing news you might find interesting,

http://uk.ps3.ign.com/articles/733/733728p1.html, basicly Grand Turismo HD will give you 100 some thing cars when you buy it (for 40 bucks) and you have to pay for the other cars (and this is paying with your own money)

I think someone said it would take £200 (I'm not sure about dollars) to own all the cars and tracks ect. (think about how you can pick up GT4 for a tenner)

sorry about the brief half-arsed explanation...

I'm sure someone will find a way to get the files for free onto a modded ps3. As for getting shafted... Sony blows.

I don't mind Sony copying a good idea, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. However, trying to play it off like it was their own idea is total bullshit. If they just gave credit where it was due it'd be peachy.

But you know as well as I do, they're not gonna give Nintendo any positive publicity for it.

it's not stealing.

It's called innovation. You borrow an idea and make it better.

While not giving any credit to the person who innovated the thing you had to use for your own innovation....

Um, how did Sony make Nintendo's idea better? They just plain swiped it. There's no real way around it. They've done it for years, and they'll continue to do so until they get off their asses and come up with TRUE innovations on their own.
