After asking some questions at work, I figured I'd post it here: What is your favorite holiday and why? It'll be interesting hearing the answers from different age groups.
Mine's Thanksgiving. Fall weather, paid holiday to get off of work to stuff your face full of food and watch football all day. _________________

As cheesy as it is, I'd have to say Christmas since it is the only time all of my family is able to gather at the same place, since we live all over the place. Aww.
Any votes for November 7th (aka Trotsky's birthday, aka six-year anniversary of the de-legitimization of the Electoral College)? I'm planning to celebrate by, um, playing some video game that comes out that day or something. _________________

any bank holiday, i pick up overtime in work, and make £10.88 ($20.55) an hour
That means i make about £103.54 ($195.57) for one nights work _________________

My "day(s) off from school" favorite holiday is probably Hannukah (or however you spell it, I'm sorta not really Jewish) and X-mas on non even years (cause I have to fly out to Minnesota for a family gathering and I LOVE those) I'm neither religion officialy but my mom is Jewish and my dad is Christian.
My favorite holidy is Halloween, just the atmosphere and all the "magic in the air! On Halloween..." (Halloween by Helloween case you didn't know/wanted to know).
EDIT: I suck at typing. Magic IN the air, instead of ON. _________________

I'd say I look forward to Christmas the most. No particular reason beyond me getting a lot of stuff for free. ^_^
The best holiday to spend with family is Thanksgiving. All huddling around the TV watching the REAL American pasttime (screw baseball) with your family. The true American dream. _________________
