Camera video quality issues

well to start off, I have a decent camera.

for the last few videos I'v shot them in VGA resolution. The resolution looks good....the problem is the colors.

You can barely see the notes as they come down the screen. Any camera experts out there that can help me out with some settings?

I'm not an expert, but judging from how dark the Hero/band/etc. is, it could be a contrast issue.

I would also say to try turning down the brightness on your TV. I'm guessing it's an LCD or some sort of TV like that, so the TV's gonna be shinin a hell of a lot of light. The camera's gonna pick up the light instead of the color, which makes what you want to see hard to see.
