How can that be? Everyone knows 2D > 3D...

I mean, the characters are totally cool, but it just doesn't feel -right-, y'know? | Agreed. But at least Akuma V.1 was playable despite the total lack of balance. There's something wrong with having a mid-air move that consists of QCF HCB+button (that the CPU can of course pull off at will). Anyway, lest anyone think that she's completely worthless, here's some eye candy proving otherwise:
And what just may become my new avatar:

A friend of mine loves the game, and told me for a challenge, master the game using Zappa. |
I've played Guilty Gear XX at Mustang Lanes, and I lose on stage 9. I use Sol-Badguy, Ky, Axl-Low, May, and sometimes Slayer, they all have insane moves. |

I only got into Sol-Badguy because he's very similar to Ken/Ryu.
Hmmm, I should put that game on my hard drive and give it another shot... _________________

SC3 scares me. I've never played it, but I've only heard bad things about it. I'll stick to SC2 standard modes. :P Those other weapons are too imbalanced. |

Street Fighter Alpha 3, Capcom vs SNK 2, and you guys got my favorite that only went to xbox here, SNK Vs Capcom Chaos. SNK vs Capcom takes a bit to get used to, but IMO the better fighting engines are in CvS 2 and SFA3. _________________

CvS2 is one of the most balanced fighters ever made, with quite a few options when it comes to fighting style. If you're only going to get one, this is the one to get.

That's the first good thing I've ever heard about that one... _________________

I enjoy playing fighters on my Saturn. So far not much love for SNK fighters? Waku Waku 7, Real Bout FFs, and World Heroes Perfect anyone?
Also, my favs are MVC2, MSHvsSF (much more balanced than MVC2), SC2, and VF4.
Nice thread by the way. Fighting games rule. We should start a thread for obscure Japanese puzzle games next, though. They rock my socks off. _________________

Sweet!
I found a way to knock down game sizes for my hard drive, knocked down DoA2 from 4.3gb to 1.3gb and Guilty Gear XX from 4GB to 2GB. This allows me to put more fighters on the HD...
oh and DoA 2 rocks. More than 3, considering I can practice on my ps2 DoA 2 then kick some ass online when i go to my friend's to play on xbox live. _________________
