the base score is just the chart with every note counted at 1x, therefore if you hit less than 100% of notes at 1x (or anything that equals that) you will get less than the base score..
So... totally possible

Oh ok I get it I assumed base score was the lowest possible score you can get on a song.

GHWT Vocals songs have potentially humongous extended ratings. For example, I have a 13.575 average multiplier on About a Girl, which would work out to a 17 star (if my math is correct).

I make it 18.4 stars (formula: s = [(m - 2) / 0.8] + 4, for m => 2), which... yeah. Has anyone calculated cutoffs to confirm that 2.800* = 5 stars (on vox)? Because 18-star scores would just be insane.

JC is this gonna happen yet? Extended ratings would be so cool on GHWT-GHWOR? I think Come to Life on GHVH has over 6x multiplier or 9 stars.
