that's awesome, I'm kinda dissapointed that trippolette didn't have a gnarly 4 figure total notes though (even though it's only 2mins long)...

Pwnage is what that was. I loved seeing it totally hit, would be cool to see other songs like Fire it Up FC'd on that demo!

Sorry if someone already said this, but you can count the notes manually on the Note Chart in the Song FAQS - Expert section. It is tedious but it gives you a relatively close #, if not an exact # (I think the latter).

It's even easier than that, really... a program made those charts, and other programs exist that can also extract that information from the raw midi data. The problem is, we are not 100% sure that any given program (including the chart generator) will count notes (or even display them) in the same way that the game engine does. That's why the only proof that JC will accept for total notes is the newspaper screen.

infinite mad props man. i wish i knew how to do this, i've read the breakdowns on the vgs and midi file stuff, but it's just not making any since to me.
